Game : Skaule 's Magical Delicacy Release Month: July Started: 05/01 Completed: N/A Magical Delicacy is a combination explormer , of the traditional 2D variety with traversal upgrades and a map that slowly fills out as you continue to investigate, with that of a professional mercantile crafting game akin to Gust 's Atelier franchise where you split most of your time between farming the ingredie...

So, I played Mouthwasing ! This is the first game I’ve finished this year, and it was short enough to complete in about two and a half sessions. I’d had my eye on this one ever since I heard all the buzz surrounding it. After a quick chat in a Discord server, I decided to grab it and dive in. I do need to caveat this, though: I played a good chunk of the game after having more than a few drinks...

I probably still have enough Indie games left over to sate me in my retirement and beyond, so my 401 plan instead will be to tell you all about Awaceb 's Tchia . The ambitious next project from the developers of Fossil Echo (which I reviewed around this time last year ) sees the studio once again lean on its native New Caledonia roots—a French-owned Pacific island just off the east coast of Aus...

It was a weird year for games for me. I did a lot of back log and games that I have been looking to play for a while and finally got like the Castlevania DS games. This also with my staples DOTA 2, Marvel Snap, and Overwatch 2. I also got into Apex legends again for about 2 months which I enjoyed as well. Heres the list. Wrote my thoughts as I am writing them as opposed to last year when I wrot...

(Wrote this on the 31st and forgot to post....) Well, well, well—the last day of 2024 is here. Another twelve months braved in the wasteland, another calendar to rip off the wall and replace. Another wrinkle has appeared on my forehead. To be honest, I had big plans for this year. I thought I was finally going to be promoted to manager at my job. I thought I had a good thing going, but then I g...

Well, 2024 is past us and I need to keep my streak going of posting GOTY lists each year. Unfortunately, I am going to have to keep things short and simple this time. After taking care of 3 kids, I only have so much energy at the end of the day. Hopefully next year I will be able to write more about the games I love. This list will be counting down from 10 to 1. ON TO THE LIST! 10. Yakuza 0 Rec...

Hello nerds welcome to my internet blog. You can follow me on a more consistent basis at my internet twitch or on the Deep Listens Family of Podcasts . Here is my internet list. Biggest Disappointment: Dragon’s Dogma 2 It’s not that Dragon’s Dogma 2 is bad, it’s that they intentionally made the same game again but bigger and also it runs the way that first game did on the 360, which is to say “...

Accountants have a lot to manage, with much of their time eaten up by day-to-day tasks such as paying bills, balancing bank statements, and reconciling expenses. These routine responsibilities are essential, but they leave little room for strategic work, such as forecasting cash flow, optimizing taxes, or managing risk . As a result, companies often miss out on big-picture financial insights th...

Imagine that a call comes through your phone, and the caller ID identifies as being from your credit card provider. When you answer, you’re told that your security password must be reset due to a widespread data breach. The caller then offers to update the security on your account while you are on the call if you provide your username and password. While you may be tempted to act quickly to avo...

What a year for game releases and the industry. Another year of mass layoffs but also some of the best games released in a while. Perhaps the biggest move of the year and after a crazy merger with Activision last year, Microsoft made moves to publish more of their games on PlayStation this year. It's a bold move but given Microsoft's position in the games market, I could see why they would move...

Something I like to do every year is to write some "resolutions" for how I will approach gaming, which is my major hobby, in the year to come. I don't take it overly seriously but I do find it helpful as a reference towards what I want to do with my hobby time so I don't just end up giving into my darker impulses and doing something truly crazy like trying to platinum Balan Wonderworld. This ye...

The Epic Games Store's long-standing free game initiative has yielded impressive results, as demonstrated by one user's remarkable collection of 203 titles acquired without spending a penny. This achievement highlights the platform's commitment to user acquisition and retention since its 2018 launch. As reported by GamesLatestNews , Reddit user Sea-Country8245 has documented their extensive lib...

Had to share this because it really tickled me. When Freelancer Mode launched on January 26, 2023—almost two years ago now—it came with one bug that I found particularly annoying: the "ICA Outstanding Service Coin" was unobtainable. It would never show up in a shop to buy, and would never show up in the crate of tools as a post-mission reward. In the latter case, the game is supposed to randoml...

King of Fighters' Mature becomes the 14th SNK representative (following Terry, Joe, Kyo, Benimaru, Andy, Shingo, Daimon, Iori, Geese, Billy, Yamazaki, Raiden, and Haohmaru), not to mention the first 2025 entry, to join my Video Game Hall of Fame. Next week's character will be a Nintendo 64 favorite.

After last year, I thought there was no way in hell 2024 would be able to offer a comparable swath of such enjoyable vidya gamin as 2023. And it didn't. BUT, it sure got a lot closer than I was ever expecting it would. For a better part of the year I was struggling to even have a close to full list of 10 games I thought felt worthy of being on a list, but now I'm flirting with extending the lis...

1. Chelsea Green Chelsea Green (your current longest reigning WWE Women's United States Champion) is one of the MVPs of 2024. She steals every segment she's in. That old wrestling cliche "maximize your minutes" is something she's nearly perfected at this point. 2. Rhea Ripley Rhea Ripley is a god damned megastar through and through. She is one of the most engaging female wrestlers on the planet...

Game : Microbird Games 's Dungeons of Hinterberg Release Month : July Started : 28/12 Completed : 30/12 January, when most rational people start putting together their GOTY lists for the previous year, is nigh upon us and yet I couldn't help but want to squeeze in one more review before December (and 2024) was over. In this case, I don't think I've heard anyone talk about Dungeons of Hinterberg...

When other commentators write their GotY Lists, they sieve the ten most gleaming nuggets from the year's sand, but this isn't like other GotY lists. This is worse. Most of the games I play aren't new; they're old, so my list should be old too, a grey cabbage crumpled at the back of your crisper drawer. In purely alphabetical order, here are the ten games I played this year that weren't expunged...

In terms of gaming, 2024 just felt like a steady stream with a few stand outs for me, but for the most part, they seemed fleeting. It's somewhat of a curse of being the type of gamer I am I suppose in that once I'm done with something, it's immediately onto the next thing. There was never really a gap of more than a week between games which is wild, it also means I have less time to really refl...
