Video games, they have practically defined my childhood. Video games are true methods of escaping reality to enter your own world where anything is possible. These are my top 20 video games. They do not need to be critically acclaimed, this list is based on my experiences with the games. Since I have a hard time explaining what makes them so good, im just going to provide plot summaries for each game.

After moving to a small town, a young boy meets the daughter of a young Professor and forms a friendship with her. This makes the Professor to decide to make this young boy a Pokemon trainer like his daughter. Meanwhile, two major terrorist organizations are feuding on how to destroy the world. The two stories collide as the boy must use his trainer skills to take down both organizations and win the Pokemon league.
The evil Bowser steals all 120 power stars that keep Princess Peach's castle running and traps her inside the paintings of the castle, which turn out to be portals to alternate dimensions. Mario must now travel through these paintings to recover the stolen power stars and defeat Bowser to rescue Princess Peach.

Meanwhile, a group of outlaws known as Team Rocket plan to use a wealthy company to take over the world. The two stories collide as the boy must use his trainer skills to take down Team Rocket and win the Pokemon league.

When his best friend Zelda is kidnapped, Link must journey to the mysterious land below the clouds to rescue her and fulfill his destiny.
Mario can never get a break, when on his vacation with Princess Peach at Isle Delfino, he is framed for the pollution of the island. In order to enjoy his vacation and not sit in jail for the rest of his days, Mario must clean up the island while solving the mystery of the true criminal.
