I have to say I take issue with the "it's for kids " cop out. Abby used to do that when talking about a game that was just shitty because it wasn't also vulgar, and that's such a fucking disservice to our youth. I played some shitty games when I was a kid because my parents didn't know a goddamn thing about video games and it's all I had. The idea of a game that has a poor structure should be forgiven because it's for teenagers is insane.
When I was in that age group I was playing Morrowind and other actual real games. And when I was younger than that I still hated Croc legend of the bogos or whatever the fuck, and other shovelware we got as kids. The only shitty thing that kids end up liking are the predatory ass Roblox games that are basically just clickers that ask them for my wallet every 15 minutes.
I do sometimes feel like there is a confirmation bias when early impressions of a game start coming around, I just can't believe how many outlets would give it about a 6 out of 10, given how everything I watch of it looks very compelling to me. But reviews are opinions and once the price drops I'm going to pick this up and give it a go, but I'm 30 and like good things.
