Really weird chain of events. Never would have expected stuff to end up like it did tbh. Seems like everybody is doing good though(at least surface level) so nothing we can do about it and just wait a few years and see if they ever tell the story.

I love the game tbh, it's better than any of the other ones I've played so far. But, I also get open world fatigue and this game is giving it to me after the second boss (80 hours in). My issue is just too much choice in exploration, I kind of just want a slight nudge as to where to go next.

But I've taken about 3 weeks off the game and am starting to want to get back to it again. The sheer amount of fun just finding cool shit and popping up into wierd areas I shouldn't be in brings back memories of when I first played skyrim. I loved that game too, and also never beat it even with 100's of hours into it lol.

Sucks on a PC with gamepad, the gamepad controls are terrible. It's actually great with the touchscreen, but it's so small on my phone I can barely make anything out.

I hear the endgame is where you will have to spend upwards to 100,000 to max out a character etc. I could see someone reporting this game to congress and we get a lot more legislation on f2p games. (honestly we probably need it, there is no moral way to justify preying on compulsive gamblers and compulsive children).

it's also apparently banned in a couple countries because of it's monetization.

@efesell: It's not weird though, it's how they feel about it. Obviously it's not true, it's just subjective feelings. There are probably people who think the tonight show died when carson left, or when leno left etc. And to them it's not "the tonight show" and the real show died etc. And in a way, their Giantbomb is gone forever. You gotta learn that emotions are not rational and just let people vent and move on.

"2 human...It's a video Game"

Wouldn't post from the site for some reason. I think this was one of the first things that made me join this site lol.

Hope everything works out for Jeff and Giantbomb crew

While I can never be accused of much optimism in regards to New Bomb I have to say that this notion of Giant Bomb IS Jeff and can't be without him is super weird.

It's really not though, it's a personality driven brand so when the personalities leave for many it will feel like a completely different brand. It was one of the concerns I had about giant bomb as the original crew was getting older, how they would transition into new hosts to take over when they retire(honestly shocked they all "left" before that happened though). A lot of folks left when Ryan passed as it wasn't the same without him for them for example.

I think how they are formatting it now will be easier for hosts to leave and exit though as it will be more focused as a entertainment brand rather than simply a personality brand, with the shows etc. It's more like a TV network now than a personal VlOG type of site it was before.

I think the main issue now is that there was no build up for the departure of the co-founder, so people who (some literally) grew up with the site are going to have some strong feelings. But I think Jeff did a pretty good job making sure the brand would out live him (even if it may not have ended how he imagined).

With Dan as the creative director you can pretty much guarantee, hit or miss, things will be entertaining.

More than likely the Departure was abrupt and unexpected for everyone involved. Haven't been a regular viewer in a while but as far as I know Jeff was still everyone's boss so they have nothing to do with any of this so it's between him and corporate. Whether he left on his own or not, don't blame the rest of the crew.

Kinda crazy, Dans back and Jeffs gone. I think the programming will be fine though, as Dan is a great Idea man and full of entertaining stuff.

Well, I haven't subbed for a while but I think the major thing that goes unnoticed is the lack of in-person interactions. I know during the pandemic it was necessary but it's just not the same not having everybody in the same room IMO. To me it really make a difference, not really sure why though.

I take it that it's offline only? Haven't played elden ring yet but the difficulty in souls games is overrated. What makes it difficult is just not having any sort of in-game explanation of stats, damage types, enemy resistances etc. Add some detailed mechanics explanations and the games are as hard as anything else.
