That was a great trip down memory lane, and the personal stories were a fantastic idea too. Thanks Ben for putting this together. Thanks to everyone making this site the best thing on the internet for the last 10 years and hopefully many more to come. Love Ryan Davis.
I had an ngage. And whats more another kid in my school had one too, so we actually played bluetooth multiplayer during breaks sometimes. It was kinda cool.
I remember having fun with Tony Hawk and the Asphalt racing game, soccer was ok. Pathway to glory was a game I genuinely loved, such a great turn based tactics game.
Also the ability to view photos and (shity .3gp, but still) videos and listen to music and play 3d games all on one machine was kind of magical to me back then.
That is so awesome. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was wishing for something like this for a long time. I just hope this isn't too much of a burden for the mods/I hope chat is not unsupervised? Because then that aspect of it might become a real bummer faster than one might think.
I really don't know what to make of this game. I loved loved loved Allied Assault and the first COD and I totally thought I'd be ready for another one of those games with modern graphics. Plus, the Gamespot and Eurogamer review seem really positive, especially about the campaign, which is all I care about anyway. Yet, after the ql, I gotta say that for once I agree with Jeff in that this kind of fps campaign looks mostly boring, uninspired and just plain dated at this point.
