Was the translation/music different on the original PC release of FFVII. Cause I remember those being different but it has been such a long time since I played that version.
Looked up on Wikipedia and yes?
That's correct. The initial PC version of FF7 used midi for music.
Which confused the hell out of me when I finally played FF7 on PSX. I'm guessing they eventually changed it to CD audio on the HD re-release?
Also, because of differences in sound cards, I believe most PC players probably have different ideas of what the music is supposed to sound like.
I vaguely remember hearing that Ikari Warriors II was weirdly different from the first, and Jeff even mentioned it, but I was not prepared for that guy's cameltoe on the cabinet artwork.
This seems really well put together and presented. The watch and jump-in-and-play features are the type of neat additions you need if you want people to not just go find your ROMs somewhere online instead.
I've been wondering for years when something like this would come along as a "next-gen" feature, instead of upgraded graphics all the time... and it isn't even on a console lol.
Man, looks like they brought in some of those mechanics they scrapped from the first one, I hope that ups the challenge of the platforming a bit. Can't wait!
