"Evidently, Tomba 1 and 2 are ultra super sexy death rare so seeing as I have those, add them I guess.
"
Shit. I forgot I own both Tomba games as well. "
I have those too, but they're only 5s on DigitPress. The first one is definitely a prize in my collection, though. Easily one of the best games ever made.
"It'll take me awhile to figure out what the rarest thing I own is. I've been scrolling through the list by rarity for awhile now, have left the 10s and 9s behind and am now in the 8s. Just about everything in these sections are limited print, homebrew, outside, betas that shouldn't exist, non-U.S. releases and U.S. special editions that weren't intended to wind up in consumers' hands."
You can easily sort by system and region via the boxes on the left. You can better specify which rarities you're looking for with the options on the right. For fun, do a search across US PS1 releases rated >= 7 "
Just looking through the list is interesting in and of itself, though. I don't own any 7s or higher, but I have a few 6s:
Pac-Mania (Tengen) - NES Pac-Man (Namco) - NES Nester's Funky Bowling - Virtual Boy
"More than I can remember, I'm sure. I have lots of old, obscure games, but I don't really know where any of it ranks on the rarity chart. Too bad there's no decent resource."
Oh, awesome. DigitPress is exactly the kind of thing I'd been looking for. I wonder why I've never seen them mentioned in one of these types of threads before.

Worlds of Power Books - Blaster Master - Metal Gear - Mega Man 2
Oddly enough, I just got around to trying Johnny Platform's Biscuit Romp earlier today. I like platformers and I like puzzle games, but in spite of that I really didn't enjoy the game. It was just too simple-minded, and I was really distracted by how little of the screen was utilized. I realize it's a community game and therefore going to be simpler than more professional releases, but even accepting that it was just too simple for my tastes.
I think I might have tried Weapon of Choice some time ago but I can't be sure. The others I definitely haven't tried.
"Any insane person who didnt buy it already now has no excuse, $10 is a steal"
I loved Braid, but boy do I hate this argument. No one has the time or the resources to play every game, even all the critically-acclaimed ones. This may push some holdouts over the edge (good), but frankly to buy a game—any game—but only because it's $10 and other people liked it and paid more money than that means you have a serious lack of willpower or brains, or both.
Sega's still got a fairly large footprint in the arcade business with its Gameworks franchise. Too bad they're so sparsely located; the nearest one for me is a three-hour drive and across the state border. And most people aren't even that lucky.
