It's an interesting choice and I'll check it out. It was already the GOTY so far. I hope they add new game plus soon too.

It'll probably be a 6 or 7 out of 10. My big worry was how boring Hulk, and to a lesser degree Kamala, were to play. Some stuff was just corny and stupid like Iron Man has to punch people to build up energy and Hulk should be tougher as well as regen health since he can heal almost as well as Wolverine (generally speaking). I wish they focused on the skill trees and not loot. A lot of their decisions don't fit Avengers.

@tp0p: I don't want to defend Epic, but do they nickle and dime their players? The multiplayer is free and the campaign is now $15. If someone wants to buy every skin that's on them. I would hate to be a parent and have my kid whining about a skin, but it is a free game. I like Smite and Paladins, but you usually have to buy skins out of a chest with them so it's gambling, at least you buy directly what you want with Fortnite.

I'll give TLAU2 credit for taking risks, but unfortunately those risks didn't payoff or work for me and many others. It is funny that disliking this game (or new Star Wars) often turns into are you anti-woman or anti-queer pretty quickly. Any real TLAU1 fan already knew Ellie was lesbian or at least bi, so that wasn't news in the second game.

It's pretty normal to get attached to a main character, if Horizon or Tomb Raider brutally murdered their main character and made me play as the murderer for hours that doesn't sound fun either, it's got nothing to do with gender.

Speaking of "fun", even though I like the gameplay and love the graphics, it being so bleak, gloomy, etc. non-stop wasn't fun. It works in movies like Apocalypse Now or The Road because they're 2 or 3 hours long, but something on their level of bleakness for 30 hours isn't fun to me and made playing the game feel like a chore. Properties like The Wire, Breaking Bad, and early/mid Game of Thrones have better stories than any video game - they're serious and can be bleak, but not overly so.

I don't have a huge backlog nor any interest in buying either next-gen system. I don't think either company has done a great job at selling their console for this year - they have some cool stuff in the next few years.

I am looking forward to Cyberpunk. Ghost of Tsushima is my GOTY at the moment - I just wish it had new game plus so I could jump back in the world. I can't say I was fan of TLAU 2. I'm not sure if Sony has said that those two PS4 games will play better on PS5.

I'm not excited at all TBH. Nothing MS or Sony has shown is impressive or very interesting. The Unreal Engine tech demo has been the only impressive thing so far, and that's not even a game lol. I might get one or both systems next year, but I see no reason to get one this year other than "OMG I was first".

There are a lot of needed changes, but I think most reasonable people should be able to agree on these:

1. All cops have to wear body cameras.

2. For civilian complaints and shootings/violence done by cops, a new independent organization investigates and prosecutes. The idea that Floyd's murderer had like 12 complaints against him and was still working is ridiculous.

3. Cops have to follow the law and constitution. There are so many videos of cops searching a car or house in an unlawful way. Also, there are a lot of videos of cops shooting rubber bullets, punching, pepper spraying, and doing other things to protestors who were't doing anything wrong. They should be held accountable.

Bullet number 2 that the OP had made me LOL. The interactions are higher due to profiling. Things like "driving while black" are definitely true, it's happened to my friends and family a lot. Even if that point was true, that really has nothing to do with cases like Garner, Floyd, or innocent black guys (and Hispanics) getting harrassed. By that logic, white boys in school should get searched harder and have other process changes compared to everyone else, since they're more likely to do a school shooting.

@sarcasticmudcrab: I would say the game has Witcher 3 swordplay, it's not Batman at all. I didn't like Shadow of Mordor or the sequel because of the Batman combat system.

I like it a lot, best game of the year so far. Some of those reviews are head-scratching. I liked Horizon a lot, but Ghost is a much better open-world. The side quests are interesting and the UI, just follow the wind or animals, promotes exploration. Horizon wasn't very good at side quests and dino robots was the main unique part.

It's minor, but finally a game where merchants aren't charging the hero money. It's a little annoying when you're trying to save your world and stores still are charging you money - Mass Effect 3 for example.

I've liked it A LOT so far. It's the best game of the year to me so far. It's samurai Red Dead with some elements of Witcher 3 combat.
