My Animal Crossing: New Leaf review (Breezes Through the Trees, Or Crushed Leaves?) gives my opinion on Nintendo's latest game in the now long-running Animal Crossing series that started on the GameCube (N64 in Japan) in 2001. I find this to be the epitome of Nintendo's master crafting of casual wonder. They've truly expanded Animal Crossing to whole new levels with this one, and the gameplay is as fun as EVER! After not playing an Animal Crossing game since the GCN original, I couldn't get enough of this one! :D

Part 4 of my Resident Evil 0 Podcast series sees me exploring some all-new areas of the game. Namely, we finally open the way into the basement. We encounter our first major new enemy, and it's a fierce one. We rescue Rebecca, learn more about Billy's mysterious background (is he really a murderer?), see a new CG cutscene with both Albert Wesker and William Birkin, and get to finally use the Grenade Launcher! We also solve a devious Animal Puzzle with a cool survival of the fittest riddle and pick up our first tablet.
So I wrote my first ever Guest Article for the website GenGame, and they published it as part of their Countdown to Wii U series! My article was one of the first published, landing on Day 25 of the countdown, making it the fifth published article in the series.
Be sure to give it a look and leave a comment! :) So far it got almost universe praise in the comments section. With people saying they love me, that I must be from the same mother, that they agree completely with my sentiments, giving me thanks, and all that. I think it was a hit! :D
After quite a long hiatus, I finally dove back into recording my Podcasts for Resident Evil 0. As such, ListenToMePlayGames podcasts parts 2 and 3 for Resident Evil 0 are now up on my website. Please give them a look!
Woohoo! YIPPITY-FREAKIN'-DOO-DAH! Finally, finally, FINALLY, after years and years and years, I have managed to play, beat and now REVIEW Resident Evil: Code Veronica, a game that came out for Dreamcast in 2000 (12 years ago! :O) and is the only Resident Evil game that completely alluded me. I was never able to beat it. Much less review it in any capacity.
I was finally able to do so today, October 4th 2012, and my full review is now up on the site as my 658th article since I started the site 8 months ago! (:O Holy crap I can't believe it's been that long!)
Unfortunately my *WORK* (>_<) isn't done yet as I still need to re-read/proof-read the review and add pics and videos. The latter of which I'll probably be too tired to do and will put off for weeks like I have with my previous three Resident Evil reviews (RE Remake, RE2, RE3). But at least the text is up and people can start reading it as-is. I typically don't make too many spelling/grammar mistakes anyway. But I always add stuff I forgot on my second pass/proofread.
In this introduction podcast I finally start the much-anticipated Resident Evil Zero! Infamous for opening on a moving train, we start the adventure and find out how the Bravo Team helicopter crashed and what the team did directly following.
We climb aboard a train, meet a felon, encounter deadly leeches and a mysterious, white-coated, supernatural individual… Discover Wesker and William Birkin (?), fully explore the train, find a Hookshot, battle a giant Scorpion and kill it with a Hunting Rifle, stop the speeding train and crash it, and explore the beginnings of an all-new mansion…. Or is it? Actually it’s an Umbrella Training Facility. We also meet James Marcus… or do we? This marks the first time he has ever been shown in a Resident Evil title…. Having previously only been mentioned
We stumble upon a replica of the mansion from Resident Evil 1! We also reach a boss fight that proves to be a little, or A LOT, too much for me…
In Part 6:
*spoiler alert* After much, much trouble I finally defeat *SPOILER ALERT* Alexia! Thankfully I look it up online so I don’t waste my life trying to beat her. Turns out I didn’t know to leave more weapons with Chris, thus leaving me with only the Knife… We also make a lot more progress exploring the replica mansion, solve a Paper Weight Puzzle, discover Alexander’s corpse, and more!
*spoiler alert* We finally figure out all the secrets (almost…) of the Replica Resident Evil 1 Mansion, rescue Claire, fight a mutant, “Mother Alien”/”Alien Queen” version of Alexia Ashford, and escape the island just before it is blown to smithereens! Thus beating the game! I also unlock the “Battle Mode” (essentially Mercenaries for Code Veronica!). A mode that I didn’t even knew existed!
I have already begun recording Resident Evil 0, and I should have the first part of my RE0 podcast up on the site tomorrow.
I'm about to record part 5, which will hopefully be the final part of the episode series on Code Veronica. I will then be moving to Resident Evil 0, and will hopefully be able to start Resident Evil 4 by the time RE6 hits on October 2nd. We shall see!
