I am exited
PlayStation Home
Game » consists of 1 releases. Released Dec 11, 2008
PlayStation Home was a social games network where PSN users could play games and socialize. Home saw a refocus in Fall 2011 in North America and Europe that put more emphasis on games than social spaces.
HOME, still excited?
Yeah, but all of the delays killed most of ReTarDedFisHy's hype for Home. But with the recent showing of it in E3, and with the Open Beta coming very soon, you can place ReTarDedFisHy's name in the "Hyped for Home" box.
Yeah the delays killed hype a bit, but I am sure the hype machine will kick in again close to its launch.
It was never about the avatars or any blatant advertising-deals for me. I was kinda excited about their trophy system
and about the whole "join a party and then join a game"-thing.
But trophies are out now and Home is still a while away, so I´m not super-excited about it anymore.
I want to get it just to see what it is like, and I hope it will let you launch it the second you boot the ps3....
I can't wait.
I really look forward to buying a bigger apartment for my dude, and buying some cool stuff to go in it, and buying my cool party clothes, and inviting my friends over for a virtual BBQ!
Im not excited for the wait. Im excited for home. I think home could be a great thing but if 3rd party devs wont bother doing anything with it like the trophies Then its loses its magic.
It still looks as brilliant as it always did but the hype is virtually dead now. If anything I've grown more cautious of it than I was excited about it previously.
I really do not care about Home that much anymore. It is a cool idea, but you can do so much more using a lobby system to talk to buddies. Besides it is not going into final beta till this Fall. So I doubt we will see it till 2009.
Im still interrested^ ^
However I hope they make the 'psp' aka 2d interface allow you to jump into different area's and games without having to take a stroll there.
People who are saying it will be out in 09, thats incorrect.
The open beta will come out in 08, fall, and thew open beta is like its release. Same thing. Home will ALWAYS be in beta because its always changing and evolving, they add stuff to it every month or so, new features, answer to users requests, etc.
So what it is a year from now will be totally different and evolved then what it is now. I'm in the beta and it has changed so much since its debut, its like a whole new game.
This should have been ready a year ago. I think I will still try and use it when it comes out. But I'm not sure if it will really deliver up to the hype.
I'm not excited in the same way that I am excited about new games.
But I am looking forward to it.
It's seems like a fun feature instead of a boring forum/community or chat client it's a full 3D community where you can do something else than just wait for a person to finish typing his/her reply.
"I'm lookin forward to 2d home, the interface that allows everything. THe 3D world...not so much and =O it's zeforgotten...havent seen him since Gamespot a long time ago"Haha, If I had a penny for every person who have said that today.. I would have.. 1 penny =P
But yeah, I am me.. I mean, it's me..
I was never really interested in HOME. I mean, when it comes out, I will get it, but even if it never comes out, I'll be fine with that too.
Not quite as much anymore, although I'd imagine there are some hidden aspects of it that we haven't seen yet. I'm more looking forward to Sony implementing web browser APIs.
"Wass never overly interested, seems very similar to the pc's second life. The concept of a virtual life does not interest me."Pretty much my feelings as well.
Home has always flown under my radar. I know it has a lot to provide and a lot to show but it does not interest me as much as lets say LBP or Heavy Rain. The public beta is when I'll reside my judgments. It sure as hell better be amazing because I just can't justify spending a buck for a new house 70 cents on new furniture (in the house) more for house decor and additional money for avatar clothing, if all it does is look nice but has little or no useful functionality to the average user.

That's just for the crazy people =P

Reguardless of how much little footage of it has been shown so far, since its taking them so god damn long to release it,who knows how much different it could turn out. Still to this day isn't enough information about it to really show if its gonna be good or not from what i've seen. I'm at least looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
It's funny how I see articles and whatnot about the avatars and how they are so innovative and whatnot, but Sony is the one that started it with Home, and it pisses me off a bit how they give one thing credit and the other none. >_>
Microsoft's NEW LIVE EXPERIENCE seems to have a better core feature set than HOME and is to release sooner. So it really does seem like a COCKBLOCK to me. HOME is just taking too long and LIVE is going to run right past it with its features

LOL, avatars are no comparison to Home, I can tell you that since I have been using Home for more then a year now. Avatar system is just ripping off a few features in Home, and its sad on MS's part, honestly.
