He was selected by the Chicago Bulls second overall in the 2006 NBA draft. His draft rights were traded to the Portland Trail Blazers for their pick Tyrus Thomas and another player Viktor Khryapa. He mainly plays at the power forward position but is used occasionally at the center position.
