" @ch13696 said:I'm lost too. How would the relationship between Activision and IW be "tense"? Their games make a lot of money. Isn't that all Bobby Kotick cares about?"I'm going to be the one to say that this is not a PR move. Not a publicity stunt. Developers don't usually do that. It would have to be the publishers. And why would G4 jump into this as well. This would be way too much money to place on something that's already making money. So let's just wait to see what happens. After I read that post I was a little freaked out. "I'm with you. This seems just way too weird. I haven't the faintest as to what the hell is the meaning of all this. "
" Ok so the Infinity Ward office is 75 miles away from me. I'm going to save them. Who's with me?? "Study the movie Die Hard, but since time is of the essence just study the trailer I posted.
I figure the meeting went badly and they're laying off QA (and maybe some other people), since they don't have a game out for a while, and it's a big expense. Think like Activision. It's about the bottom line. They sent security because they're unsure how IW will take the news, because the heads probably freaked out about it.

"Ten years ago, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team. "

Seriously, how long can this play out? If it is a publicity stunt, surely they can't hold the charade through the night?
" I think we definitely have been able to instill the culture, the skepticism and pessimism and fear that you should have in an economy like we are in today. And so, while generally people talk about the recession, we are pretty good at keeping people focused on the deep depression." -Bobby Kotick
Maybe I'm overthinking things...right? Right!?
