    Hey friends,

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward comes out this week, and I didn't hear any mention of it on I Love Mondays. This game just really seems like a perfect fit for Giant Bomb and its audience, as it is doing something really different both story wise and mechanically. I'd love to see this game Quick Looked, and therefore discussed on the podcast, not for purchasing advice (I know I want it..) but just because GB is where I come for discussion of important things happening in games today, and knowledge of this game seems like it would be relevant. I know the GB crew keep an ear to whats going on in the forums... so, anyone else in to this?

They do not pay attention to Vita games.

My mind is exploding at the fact that you'd think that this game seems like a perfect fit for GB and its audience.

It's also a 3DS game (probably more so, in that it is the successor to a DS game). I think I made my point above as to why it would matter to GB users, but I'd cite the community's championing of Persona 4 to try and keep your mind from exploding too much.

I heard good things about the first, I would love to see a quick look of this, wish they would do more 3ds ones in general.

    @Abendlaender: @evanbower: That's right, it's a 3DS game too!

But Persona 4 has practically nothing in common with Good People Die (@Animasta, which I agree should have remained the title; much more compelling). Look at GB's reception to 999, Hotel Dusk, the Professor Layton games (a bit more popular, but they center more around puzzles than the rest), the Ace Attorney series or any other text based, handheld game. Do you really think those are the kinds of games that people care about on Giant Bomb? Because the popularity of the titles I've cited demonstrate quite the contrary.

999 wasn't covered, which is why a forum where I argue that they should cover it exists. Other than that, I don't see your argument. Layton games are consistently covered and enjoyed by the staff members, Hotel Dusk came out before Giant Bomb was a thing, and even the Ace Attorney Wii Ware release was Quick Looked.

@evanbower: Oh, so you really just mean covered in a Quick Look? I thought you were talking about its appeal to the audience of this website. If all you mean is a video of the game, well, I wouldn't count it out. It comes out tomorrow and it doesn't seem like they'll Quick Look it this week, but maybe they'll bother doing one eventually.

Ryan's into the Saw and Cube movies as I recall, and I expect Patrick is too... The franchise's similarity to those should appeal to them I would think.

As much as I'm going to love this game, it doesn't lend itself well to the Quick Look format. I'm pretty sure Patrick knows about 999 and likes it. The only coverage I could ask for is maybe a review of it or just talking about it or something. Its not a game you would want to see footage of in a Quick Look style because that will just ruin parts of the game. Heavily based on story and the only gameplay to be had are escape the room puzzles. It would probably make for a horrible QL in all honesty.

@ESREVER: I don't think a Quick Look of, say, the demo's "Escape" segment would spoil anything. It could, however, be real boring, especially if they get confused and don't know how to solve the puzzle.

@FluxWaveZ: You're right about the demo bit. That probably wouldn't be a problem in terms of spoiling anything. Like you said though, that would just be torturous to watch.

@ESREVER: I don't see how this is that different from the quick looks they've done for adventure games. Heck, they even did one for the DS detective game that had a similar structure, trying to remember the name...

Not sure if it would fit a quick look. If it's anything like the first the parts where you actually play the game are very good puzzles but the real appeal is the hours of text you read. Would love for a review though, Patrick seems like the best fit.

I was actually gonna say "Final Fantasy VII". You know, tiers in terms of publicity. Mario's high tier (everybody's heard of him), Legacy of Kain's mid-tier (pretty much only gamers know what this is), Nanatsu Kaze no Shima Monogatari's low tier (only I've heard of it).

I believe you're thinking of Again. If they Quick Look VLR, they'd probably have to choose an area that would show the puzzle aspects, as well as the dialog but it can't be too spoilery.

Dragon's Dogma was a great game that Patrick enjoyed. While flawed the game shows promise and with a possible sequel some of the issues hopefully will be fixed.

Ehhhh whatever, it's probably not a game that would Quick Look well. Kinda as boring as I'd find watching someone else play a Professor Layton game (which seems like it's coming this week as well).

Even though I'd love for it to get some attention. If it's as quality as 999 was (and I feel like this game is looking actually *better* in every way), it deserves it.

@AndrewB: But why would you expect them to be into this kind of game? Maybe Vinny, but even then I wouldn't really see him being into this.

Because Brad likes Layton. Yeah, okay, there are differences, but the core gameplay is puzzle-solving. And Vinny just seems to like all of the "obscure" stuff I like. Obviously I was wrong.
