5 out of 5 starsOkay, so I haven't actually finished a game yet; I've gotten to 1663 on an Savoy to Italy game, I've gotten to 1600 on a Crusader Kings 2 converted game where I created Finnish North America, and I've gotten to 1670 on an Omani game. I haven't gotten to the revolutionary part yet, or the colonial uprising part, but I know it hasn't changed much from EU3 so whatevs. Oman DANG So, if you're not actually sure what this…
Zeno Clash II2013
4 out of 5 starsZeno Clash 2 is a sequel to a game that I assumed would never get a sequel, because it was so goddamn weird and surrealistic and crazy. Lucky for me and the 499 other people who enjoyed it, it did! and luckily it's also pretty good. the game is a first person brawler with weird weapons from time to time, though it's never required, unlike in the first game where there were forced shooting sequences. So, at the end…
Hotline Miami2012
5 out of 5 starsHotline Miami made me feel guilty playing it. The last game I felt guilty playing was Nier (all y'all people who played Nier [all 5 of you] know what I mean), in fact. I think if you can make me feel guilty playing a game than you have achieved something great, regardless of how good the game is. Hotline Miami plays great, actually, which ties into the guilt in a way. You play as a guy who gets calls from people who…
Crusader Kings II2012
5 out of 5 starsNow, I've not preordered any paradox interactive game because people on other forums usually say that's a bad idea; due to bugs, due to missing features... their best game, Europa Universalis 3, took 2 expansions to become good, so I was not hoping for much around 3 months ago. Lots of preview stuff said that the game was actually good, and I watched some 2 hour long streams of it, and that was good enough for me to…

Hi! Idk if anyone still remembers me, I assume people do because I posted a lot like ages ago ago and there can't have been that much turnover, but i haven't posted here in 9 months so with the fact that my self esteem, much like my emotional state, varies wildly from positive to negative, might also lead me to believe that no one actually remembers me and this is going to be really awkward. WH...

Aug 5, 2014

Blogimasta: Why Football Manager is the greatest strategy game of all time
Mar 27, 2014
Okay, so, I'm not the biggest soccer fan in the world. Before playing FM I barely knew what the differerences were between a full back and a half back. I got into it via screenshot LP's, one of them in Something Awful and the other on this other site (runofplay I think it was). Now, why is Football Manager the greatest strategy game of all time? It's a lot like Crusader Kings 2. It gives you th...
Europa Universalis 4 day one: FINLAND YO
Aug 13, 2013
So, I really need to stop playing Europa Universalis 4 right now, but I'm still thinking about it, so... What better way to get it out of my system than to type about it?! No? WELL WHATEVER. I'm going to write a review pretty soon I think? I mean I do want to get to the end date on a converted save and one on a regular save. I'm thinking the regular save should be one of the Japanese Daimyos......
Blogimasta: What do you do when the hype train runs over you?
Aug 5, 2013
Europa Universalis 4 is coming out. With the release of the converter... holy shit. Preorder immediately. It'll convert any and all Crusader Kings 2 save files and convert them into mod files for EU4. So you can theoretically take a nation from 867 and go all the way to 1821. MAYBE I'M A WEIRDO but that really appeals to me and goddamnit, I want to colonize all of Canada/North America as Finlan...
Blogimasta: finishing up Zeno Clash and my really dumb problem with XCOM:EU
Apr 22, 2013
SUP Y'ALL, IT'S THE THIRD INSTALLMENT OF WHATEVER THIS IS! I still haven't played much of the sailor moon RPG because that game is mad old and also it's annoying, but I will get to eventually (I'm not giving a date because I will undoubtedly break it like I'm douglas adams up in this). Regardless, let's revisit the two games I bought 4 days ago: Zeno Clash well actually I bought Zeno Clash 2, b...
