Game director for Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. Later worked as producer for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. Also produced/co-produced the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII as well as the Kingdom Hearts series.

Yoshinori Kitase is a scenario writer, game producer and game director employed by Square Enix (Company). Kitase joined the company (then Squaresoft (Company)) in 1991. Kitase is the head of Square Enix's Production Team 1, notable for developing the modern Final Fantasy (Franchise) titles. Prior to his work on Final Fantasy, he began his tenure with the company by serving as the scenario writer for Final Fantasy Adventure (Game).
