Steve Russell
Steve Russell was the lead programmer of "Spacewar!". Privately released in 1961, it was the second video game ever created, the first space shooter, and the first computer-based video game. Russell never commercially released Spacewar!, but a knock-off "Computer Space" was later marketed by Nolan Bushnell in 1971.
