The Rose Princess
GAME »
A once-planned WiiShop title from Luc Bernard, telling the story of a cursed cello player and a drug-addicted, cross-dressing rabbit looking for a place to call home.

Overview

First mentioned in September 2007, The Rose Princess was to be a 3D WiiShop title from developer Luc Bernard. The basic concept of the game would have followed Princess Rose, a cello player who can't touch living things without killing them, and Mr. Cuddles, a rabbit with a fondness for cross-dressing, drugs, and sex, among other things. In a June 2008 interview with NintendoLife, Bernard stated that development on the game had not yet started, but if a publisher could be found he expected the budget to be around $50,000. In a January 2009 interview with PocketGamer, Bernard stated that Rose Princess had been conceptualized with his girlfriend in mind. Following the two breaking up, Bernard intended to alter the game's concept and the appearance of the titular princess. While The Rose Princess never surfaced, the character of Mr. Cuddles was eventually reused for Manufactured Beauty (Game).
