Overview

Part of an ambitious 3-game project that was initially code named Project Roberts and within that project the first game, a casual city building game now known as Steam Bandits: Outpost, was code named Casual Roberts and had an estimated release of winter 2012. The 2nd and 3rd games in the series still don't have names but they are, in order of release, Steamy Roberts, a co-op open-world RPG planned for winter 2013 and Action Roberts, an airship dog-fighting flight sim planned for winter 2014.

Gameplay

In Steam Bandits: Outpost, players are tasked with building up, developing, and overseeing towns on various floating islands in the game world. Along the way, players can recruit a variety of airship captains to complete campaigns and missions, duel other players, or cooperate with friends.<sup>[1]</sup> The game is slated to support cross-platform play, allowing players from different platforms to interact with one another.

Kickstarter

On July 19th, 2012, developer Iocaine Studios started a Kickstarter to help fund the first in a series of 3 planned and interconnected games in their Steam Bandits universe, Steam Bandits: Outpost. They reached their goal on August 19th, 2012 and you can view the Kickstarter page here.
