SD Gundam: Gashapon Senki -Episode One-
GAME » on December 29, 1999
A turn-based strategy game featuring characters from Sunrise's Gundam franchise, specifically those from the original Universal Century continuity. Players can acquire new Gundams to use by capturing "gachapon" facilities across the map.

Overview

SD Gundam: Gashapon Senki -Episode One- is a strategy game exclusive to the original WonderSwan portable console and plays similarly to the SD Gundam World: Gachapon Senshi series for Famicom. The goal of each map is to overwhelm the opponent by taking all the distribution centers, or "gachapon", preventing them from producing reinforcements. For every gachapon a player holds, they can produce one extra unit to give them an edge. Other bases can be occupied to produce money per turn which can be put towards producing higher-value units. The protagonist is the v (pronounced "nu") Gundam piloted by Amuro Ray, as seen in the 1988 Gundam movie Char's Counterattack. This unit begins far stronger than any of the units that can be built via the gachapon, but any overreliance will put it at risk.
