Morphman
GAME » on 1993
A FMV CGI adventure game where you're a superhero who can morph into various things.

Overview

Morphman is a point-and-click FMV adventure game developed by Dynamic Dimensions Development and published by Personal Computer Solutions for Windows PCs in 1993.

In Morphman, players control the superhero of the same name as he infiltrates a highly-secured island fortress of militant scientists in order to rescue world-renown physicist Professor Roberts and destroy various biological weapons. His namesake comes from the fact that he can use his Morph Suit to transform into things he encounters (such as birds, fish, ants, and skeleton warriors).

Billed as "the first software to combine realistic 3D animations with Microsoft Video for Windows", much of the game involves clicking on buttons as they appear underneath the main full-motion video window. Similar to modern quick-time events, players often have to choose the correct button in a limited amount of time. Several parts of the game require the player to guess a sequence of choices, often having to restart from a checkpoint.

The game's retail box is notable for having an adjustable lenticular print on the front.
