In Mini Nuts, players take the role of a squirrel who is trying to remember where he buried his nuts. In this memory game the player must recall patterns of nuts that are spread out on a game board.
The game board consists of twenty hexagonal tiles that represent holes in the ground. Each hole can hold one, two, or three nuts, or it can be empty. The game starts by flipping over the tiles to reveal nuts in several of the holes. The nuts are shown for a brief moment before flipping back over to grass, hiding the nuts. The player must then dig up the nuts by clicking on the tiles were the nuts were shown. The player earns one point for each successfully dug up nut. If the player misses, he or she is given a strike. On three strikes, the game is over.
