Overview

Dragon Ball 3: Gokuuden (loosely translated to "Dragon Ball 3: Goku's Story") is a sci-fi fantasy adventure-RPG developed by TOSE and published by Bandai for the Famicom exclusively in Japan on October 27, 1989.

The sequel to Dragon Ball: Daimaou Fukkatsu, Gokuuden re-tells the entire main Dragon Ball (Franchise) story prior to the Dragon Ball Z (Franchise) series, from kid Goku's first search for the Dragon Balls (Object) to adult Goku's battle against Piccolo Jr.

The game's card-based system and "board game"-inspired map system is expanded on, along with a new animation system for combat.

It later received a 2002 remake for the WonderSwan Color (Platform) (as Dragon Ball (Game)).
