A Sega Genesis adaptation of Disney's animated 1991 film Beauty and the Beast.
Overview
Disney's Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Quest is one of two Beauty and the Beast adaptations produced by Sunsoft for the Sega Genesis. The other is Disney's Beauty and the Beast: Roar of the Beast. The idea was that the former would follow Belle and be a game targeted at a female audience while the latter would follow Beast and be targeted at a male audience. Both games were released around 1993. Belle's Quest is a little more passive and pacifistic compared to Roar of the Beast, with Belle avoiding most dangers and needing to complete puzzles and mini-games to make progress. She can either leap over enemies or duck underneath them, in the case of flying enemies like bats and hawks.
