Denshattack

Denshattack! is a 3D platformer and extreme sports game, developed and published by Fireshine Games (Company), built in Unreal Engine 5 (Concept). The game was released on July 15, 2026, on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, Sony PS5, and XBOX X/S/X platforms. In the game, the player must perform physics-defying tricks in their souped up train (Densha) to rack up points and complete objectives.

Setting

In a future where global warming has ravaged the Earth, a megacorporation named Miraido has built domed cities across Japan where only the most wealthy and famous can afford to live, sheltered from the worst effects of the changing climate. Miraido has also taken over the old Japan Rail system, repurposing it to run their AI-controlled VACTRAIN between the domed cities. However, outside of those domed cities, some people still cling to life, and some of them make use of unused rails to ride trains to and from the distant cities across Japan.

One of those survivors, a girl named Emi, makes deliveries from her family's ramen shop using a train. After her latest delivery brings her to a professional photographer named Fernando, he inspires Emi to join the unofficial sport of Denshattack, using her train to pull off amazing tricks, rack up points, and along the way, take the fight to Miraido before they can complete their master plan.

Gameplay

Similar to games like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Denshattack! challenges players to perform a variety of tricks to rack up points. From vertical/air tricks that allow the player to flip and spin the train like a skateboard, to rails that the player can grind on, even doing manuals and ollies to extend combos. However, with the train being on rails, players must work with somewhat limited movement, like jumping to transfer rails, ground-pounding to avoid smashing into a building or pick up collectibles, or using a drift function to keep the train on the rail during tight turns.

Most levels have a scoring system that gives the player a medal for the amount of points they rack up, the time it takes to complete the level, and the number of extra collectibles or challenges (Dares) completed in the level, with a medal system ranging from bronze to gold for each. Players can replay a level as many times as they want.

Eventually, players can unlock entirely new trains, each with their own advantages and drawbacks.
