Overview
Bug Bites! is an action game developed and published by MOL for Game Boy. The game is a homebrew game made using GB Studio. The game was submitted to the GB Showdown 2023 competition.
Gameplay
In Bug Bites! players control a small bug in top down, single screen stages. The goal of each stage is to help the plants by destroying the beetle eggs. Players can move the bug in up/down/left/right directions using the D-Pad. If the player causes the bug to touch an enemy beetle or spikes a life is lost. There are four lives to use to try and finish the game's eight stages.
