NES Max
ACCESSORY
First party NES controller featuring turbo buttons and an 8-way sliding directional input called a cycloid.

Released by Nintendo in 1988, the Max is distinguished by its unique sliding "cycloid" control disk. The cycloid replaces the standard NES D-pad, allowing for 8-way control. Around the cycloid is a black plastic ring that can be used for more traditional directional control. Below the B & A buttons are two gray, dome shaped turbo buttons. The controller has something of a wing shape, similar to the PlayStation controller, only thinner and flatter.
