Vol'jin is the current lead or the exiled Darkspear troll tribe, and the son of the previous leader, a witchdoctor named Sen'jin. Currently, he resides in Thrall's throne room in Orgrimmar. This was not always the case, for the trolls had set up a home on The Echo Isles, but a power hungry troll by the name of Zalazane sought control. With this battle now rising, Vol'jin pulled his people off of the Isles and founded Sen'jin village on the coast, as a base of operations against Zalazane.
In Cataclysm, Vol'jin possesses a severe dislike of the new Warchief, Garrosh Hellscream, and say that when his influence is gone and his power useless, Vol'jin will be the one to send the final arrow to pierce his heart.
After Garrosh Hellscream was defeated, Vol'jin became the new leader of the entire Horde.
