    Valefor appears as a winged lion with the head of a donkey. He is untrustworthy. He offers to provide familiars to those who summon him, but tries to incite them to steal and commit other crimes in the hopes they will be caught and punished, presumably for his amusement.  
     
    An Eidolon in FF X and X-2 is named Valefor as well, but simply borrows the name like so many other characters in games; unlike the "Duke Valefor" rare monster in FF XI, it is not the Goetic demon but simply a being that references it by borrowing the name and is thusly a different character.
