Phoenix Down Enable: Thoughts, Hopes & Wishes for the new GiantBomb

I hope that now GiantBomb is fully independent, that the content on the site doesn’t have to be SEO driven but more driven by the community, and that this place is a home for gamers to write, hang out, create, and support one another.

So what I’m going to write below are more long-term goals I would love to see for GiantBomb, and at the moment, are just random ideas that I’m spitballing.

User Reviews:

The user review UX gets updated to add larger GIF files (up to 100mb). I feel that with game reviews, we can use GIFS to show how gameplay is and not just rely on still images.

The Community Spotlight:

As great as The Community Spotlight is, I would like it to reach more users. Maybe we could have it both posted on the main page, as it is now, but also be sent out to users as a newsletter every week, so for people who don't visit the site regularly but listen to the podcasts, we have a way to show them what's been happen on the site.

Audio Things:

The creatation of a GiantBomb Radio Network RSS Feed, so it's one RSS feed that delivers all the sites podcasts to your Podcast app of choice, so it would The Bombcast, Voice Mail Dump Truck, PowerBombcast, BoxOfficeBombcast, 8-4 Play, and if in the future we have other podcasts join the GB Radio Network (both internal or external podcasts) they would be automatically added to the feed.

Video Things:

A return to the site posting traditional videos like Quick Looks, Endurance Run, UPF, Old Games, Vlogs, etc.

More Written Content on the Site:

From game reviews, long-form essays, and news articles.

These are just some of my random thoughts at the moment; feel free to add to them or criticise them.
