Reliving My Childhood Through Star Wars

I don't think I'm alone in saying that I grew up on the Star Wars films. I'm not quite certain, but I think there hasn't been a single year that has gone buy since I was 6 that I haven't watched a Star Wars movie. Now I'm not saying I'm obsessive or anything, which I'm not, but I am saying that I love those movies. 
To celebrate the blu-rays being released a group of friends and I decided to have a 2 day marathon of the films. Yesterday we decided the best thing to do was to skip 1 and 2 and just jump to episode 3-6. I'm really glad we did this because it allowed us to actually watch the greatest of the Star Wars movies without completely burning out on them by the time we got to 5 or 6.
  Today we decided it would be the best way to end the marathon by watching 1 and 2 with Riff Trax for both subsequent films. If you've never heard of Riff Tracks or Mystery Science Theater 3000 (The place Riff Trax got started) just imagine watching a movie with your funniest friends creating a commentary track over the movie the whole time. Now multiply those laughs by 10. I would highly recommend watching a movie with Riff Trax on them. It's a great experience and I've got to say comedy gold. As for the people who have watched Mystery Science Theater 3000 or Riff Trax then you know what I'm talking about. Regardless of weather you've seen Riff Trax or MTS3K I highly recommend the Star Wars Riff Trax. 
Hopefully this blog hasn't bored you. I'd like to see what other people have to say about their experiences with Star Wars as a kid. Who knows what I'll write about tomorrow, but the whole point of doing these blogs is to grow as a writer and to get back to what I used to be. Maybe I'll actually proof these after a while.
