My Summer of Games

I was super hyped for this game. I wanted it to be "Next Gen" game, like so many others. It's not (like so many other have also said). I am having fun with it and will finish it. However, with none of the side stuff keeping my attention, I'll probably finish with it rather quickly after going through the main story and maybe some DLC.

This is supposedly a quick game that I'll probably play and complete this weekend. The trailer reminded me of Fez, so I had to get it. I expect it to be different from Fez, but since I like fun, imaginative puzzle games, I'm sure I'll be into this.

There's only one episode left. I've really enjoyed this game. I really hope they make a second season.

I honestly didn't start feeling extremely excited about this game until the last episode. It's been a bit of a slow burn, but it's really starting to build into something I'm very excited to continue. Just two episodes left.

I've been playing through these games with my wife. She really only plays the occasional puzzle game, adventure games with me, and Animal Crossing. :) So far, this game is not great. I'm determined to finish it, though, and complete the series with Tales of Monkey Island.

Despite the reviews, I'm still excited to play this. I didn't watch any footage of it, because I don't want anything to be spoiled. I hope I'm not disappointed. I just want something a little different from the other games I've been playing (especially from the other big budget games). I want something story heavy and a little slower paced - the same reason I was excited for Beyond: Two Souls (until I played it) and am excited for Quantum Break (please put it out on PC...).

I never played this before, since I had a Genesis instead of a Super Nintendo. I'm now playing it on Wii. I was really hooked until I got to the Dark World. Then, I got burned out. However, I will finish the game, and I hope I get hooked on it again before the end.

This was not on my radar at all until I heard about it on the Bombcast. I have to play it.

I finished this game, but I want to play the "Freedom Cry" DLC. I'm excited to play that. I just want to hold off until I at least finish Watch Dogs.

This games looks really great. I love the small projects Ubisoft supports such as Child of Light and I am Alive, just to name a couple. Therefore, I'm excited for Valiant Hearts.

I've played all the Blackwell games and enjoyed them. I like story-driven games, and good adventure games do that pretty well. So, I'm excited to play through this.

I also finished this game and did enjoy it, though not as much as Arkham Asylum or City. Now, I have to play the "Cold, Cold Heart" DLC, which I admit I am excited about. However, I can't say I am disappointed to see Arkham Knight to slip to next year to give me a bigger break between Arkham games...

I'm about fourteen hours into this game. I do like it, but it is long, and there are so many other games that keep taking me away from it. I will go back to it and eventually finish it, though!!

I finally played Thief: Deadly Shadows earlier this year in anticipation of this game. I know this game got some pretty average reviews, but I'm still going to give it a shot, because I really like stealth games and love Thief (the original) and Thief II.

I never played this and want to. Simple as that. :)

This game just seems like it has a really cool premise - something different than many games. Therefore, I wanted to support it and try it out.

I really like Christine Love's other games (Digital: A Love Story and Don't Take it Personally). Therefore, I want to keep going through her games.

I still like the Assassin's Creed games, and I plan on playing this one. Not sure if I'll be ready for either of the new AC games this fall after finishing this one, though. May be too soon...

As I said before, I really like stealth games. I've been going through all of the Splinter Cell games, and this one's next. To be honest, I really just want to get to Blacklist, but I want to play all the games in order, so I'm doing that.

I played through this entire game, but I want to hit some of the DLC.

I loved the original Octodad. I didn't get this game at launch due to reviews talking about how this game made a lot of missteps by making the player do things that were frustrating instead of fun. However, since the game has been patched with several supposed improvements, I want to give it a shot.

Despite this coming and going from public consciousness incredbly fast, I am still excited to play it. I think the setting looks really fascinating. I really like Sci-Fi...

I pre-ordered this due to my love of Samurai history and aesthetic. If I could commission one game it would be an isometric Samurai RPG set around 1500-1700. I know Shogun 2 is not a RPG, but it has the setting right. :)

As a fan of Sci-Fi, adventure games, and Wadjet Eye Games, I really want to play this. Again, there are just so many other games that keep bumping this one down...

As I said previously, I am playing through the Monkey Island games with my wife. I'm excited to finish out the franchise.

I played Saints Row The Third late, so it is only appropriate I play this one well after release, as well. Still looking forward to it...

I really want to get more into Visual Novels. I am even half thinking of trying to write one myself, after I play through more of them and get a better feel for what I like and don't like about some of them.

This game looks like something I could really get into due to the open world and base management features.

I like adventure games and Double Fine, so I backed this game. Excited to play through it. It just hasn't been a priority, since I know I'm waiting for the second half, anyway...

I just built a new PC, and I heard this game is pretty. Plus, I do like stealth games a lot (as I keep saying).

The first game was crazy but a very unique, and therefore fun, world to be in. I am hoping for the same in this game once I finally get to it.

I'm excited this finally came out on PC. I have wanted to play it for several years, and I hope I finally get to it in the next few months.

I played about eight hours of this and just got bored. I loved Fallout 3, but I just think New Vegas wasn't offering me enough of something new. However, Fallout 1 and 2 are my favorite games of all time. Therefore, I will finish New Vegas, if only to get more Fallout.

I like to play cute, fun games in between so many other serious, dark games. I especially want to play this in 3D, which I usually don't care about at all.

This looks fun. The art looks great, and the reviews were good. So, this continues to be on my list.

This just got way too much cult following for me to not play it.

It's obvious from the rest of my list that I spend most of my time playing PC games and, more often than not, darker and grittier story-heavy games (compared to Mario, at least...). However, I know this is one of the best games of last generation, and I do want to play it.

I know this is supposedly not a great game, but I just want to experience it for myself (see previous mention of newly built PC).

I didn't own a console when this came out (because I primarily play PC games). I always hoped this would come to PC, but I can't wait forever. So, I'll get to it on PS3 when I can. The length is what keeps pushing it back, as I have so many other long games I'm in the middle of or want to start first. However, I really want to play this, so I honestly could end up just starting it on a whim before many other games on this list. :)

I really am interested to see what the story mode in this game is all about after all the praise it received.

Yes, I know this isn't very good. However, I'll play it on iPad, because I like the Deus Ex franchise.

I can't explain exactly why I'm drawn to this game, but I think the dog-fighting looks exciting and fun. Therefore, I'll give it a shot.

I want to at least try and play this before the second game comes out.

Despite all the bad stuff that happened with this game, I enjoyed what InterWave built with Nuclear Dawn, and I wanted to support this game. I have to at least see what this game is about, at this point.

I played one campaign of Civ V and enjoyed it. I want to play with the expansion packs, now.

I never got to this one despite liking the first game. I'm bummed the series may never properly be completed. I still want to play this, though.

I put this as #51 on the list I said I wanted to keep to 50, because when this comes out in August, it will have to be at the top of my list no matter what else on this list is still unplayed.

As soon as I finish Watch Dogs, I'm going to jump into Transistor. I just don't want to have to split my time between those two.

I don't own this yet, but I'll pick it up when it goes on sale or when I get to it in my backlog. The stealth options sounds interesting, and the good reviews sealed it for me.

I bought this last year, thinking I'd get right to it, but I didn't. It may move up this list, but this is a good spot, right now.
