I wasn't able to get in as much gaming as I'd like last week, but I did play a few games. I always like playing shorter games (or even just episodes of episodic games), because I feel a nice sense of completion. There was a time when I said I was going to finish at least one small game a week while also working through longer games. However, that maybe a goal for another time, as my schedule is too busy even for that.

My Week in Gaming 9/1-9/7

Kentucky Route Zero

I played Act III of KRZ last week. I really don't want to talk too much about it, except to say that there are some truly magical moments in it.


KRZ is one of the games I really wish I would have made (for the record, I've never made any game, but I'd like to someday...). I just love the presentation, the pacing, and the way it feels foreign and familiar, abstract and straightforward all at the same time.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

I am liking this third Uncharted game so far...even more than I liked the first two. I think I played Uncharted 2 too soon after the original Uncharted, because I really didn't enjoy the second game as much as I probably should have. I think most people feel 2 is better than 3, but I'm enjoying 3 so far, probably close to half-way in.

The Walking Dead: Season Two

I wrapped up The Walking Dead: Season Two last week with Episode 5. Like others, I was disappointed with the ending of this season. However, there were parts of this episode I did like. Ultimately, I liked the first season much more than this one, but I still recommend this season to anyone (the only exception being if you tried the first season and didn't like that experience).
