Games I Played Last Week 8/4-8/10

I only played one game this week, but it was a good one.

I'm working my way down my Summer Backlog list. Of course, I wish I could play more games and complete them faster, but it is nice to see progress on my Completed Games list.

I skipped Valiant Hearts this week to play Blackwell Epiphany, because I wanted to see the last game in the Blackwell series. I will get to VH this week after playing the short Cold Cold Heart DLC for Arkham Origins. After that, I think I'm going to make another adjustment to my backlog plan and play Uncharted 3 before playing Thief. And I should get some more time with Bravely Default while on a trip, but we'll see...

The Blackwell Epiphany

I'm a fan of point-and-click adventure games, so the Blackwell series is right up my alley. I think Dave Gilbert did a great job writing a series that is very relatable yet has just enough mystery and mysticism to keep the player in the dark as what could possibly come next.

Epiphany is a great ending to the series. It wraps up the main characters' stories in a satisfying, emotional ending.

The puzzles are very nicely done, intuitive yet challenging enough to keep me engaged and wanting to come back to the game. It is longer than the other games, but it doesn't drag. Everything has a purpose, and I feel completely confident recommending this game to any fans of the series and this series to any fans of adventure games and/or good stories with good characters!
