Sometimes, these reports can take longer than the games themselves. I'm just writing what I have to catch up.
My first game, I was Zerg versus Protoss on Xe'l Naga Caverns. I started out normally, then I decided to fast expand. When I tried to scout his base, he had already blocked it with a zealot and his buildings. I was too late to get in. I kept building as normal, getting zergling speed and building roaches.
He attacked with three phoenixes. I was in trouble. He used one of their graviton beams to lift my queen in the air, and then picked it off with the other three phoenixes. After that, he laid waste to my expansion. My overlords were helpless.
I struggled to continue, but he basically marched in with a ground army to clean up. I didn't have the economy to hold it off.
I think my main mistake was with scouting. I should have scouted earlier to see what he was doing. Even though I didn't get into his base, I saw that there was only one zealot. I should have expected that he was teching to either a starport or dark templar. I should have upgraded my hatchery to a lair and possibly canceled my expansion. He was 67th in Gold league.
My next game, I was Zerg again. This time, my opponent was Zerg on Steppes of War. I couldn't tell if he was going to 6-pool me or not, but I went ahead and played my normal opening. I built a spawning pool after I had 13 drones, and then started a roach warren. When I scouted his base, I saw that he had a late spawning pool. Since it was a small map, I started morphing lots of zerglings. I had 16 to his 4, so I easily outnumbered him. He canceled his expansion, and I forced my way up his ramp into his base. He had two queens, and mostly drones. I took heavy casualties, but I killed off both queens, a spine crawler, and a lot of drones. He was left with 8 drones, while I had 16. I knew the counterattack was coming. Because I watched a Day[9] Daily earlier, I had built my buildings so they somewhat protected my workers. When he attacked, he wasn't able to surround my drones. I was able to get my queen away so she could still attack while he was trying to attack my drones and zerglings. He killed one drone, but I had a lot of zerglings left. At this point, I had a sizeable advantage. I started making roaches. As long as I stayed ahead of him economically, I should be okay. I pressed hard with roaches, but I don't think my opponent had a chance to come back. The game lasted another ten minutes. I won. My opponent was 27th in Silver division.
Zerg again, versus Protoss on Metalopolis. He was Bronze 3, but he was really good. Did a four-warpgate to expand strategy. I tried to hold it off, but I left most of my army in my main. He had excellent forcefield control. When he attacked my expansion, he halved my army and took me out. I don't think I had a chance. The number of workers was close, but he was spending better than I was. His first push (and the better micro) won the game for him.
PvZ on Scrap Station. Silver 2. I had problems against him. He expanded and just killed me. I tried to wall off and just walled myself in. He broke through and killed me. Thoroughly a bad game. :(
Freeman game. I played Protoss against a Zerg on Lost Temple. He fast expanded. I went for four warpgates. I had a lot of units, but when I pushed out, was able to hold me off. I switched my mix of zealots and stalkers to better counter his roaches and zerglings. He tried to create a second expansion when I expanded to my natural. While it's a good idea, I don't think he had enough drones. At his three bases, he had a little more than half as many drones as I had probes. I still had more money than he did.
I attacked, and I think he just ran out of resources. I mopped up his expansion and his main base. He tried to reinforce with a nydus worm, but I killed it before it could break through. His main base fell, and it was only a matter of time before I killed his other expansion. I won. Gold 3.
TeNSioN Lost TvT on Metalopolis. Gold 5. Lost attack. Tried to run. Still lost.
Robocop Bronze 13 win TvT Steppes of War.
Quick 3v3. lost. Best the first wave, but never really had an attack.
PvZ Scrap Station Lost to muta harass. Maaaayyyy silver 2.
TvZ Lost Temple. He fast expanded. So I one-base attacked. Pushed hard and won. Silver 6. SpliceI
Two 2v2 games. Split. Bronze 26 now with Jason.
Last game, Silver 6. TvZ, Lost Temple. He fast expanded, so I went hard marines. He had roaches, so I added marauders. He had banelings, but my concussive shells and the extra marines kept them from reach me. After his initial attack was thwarted, I walked into his base. I won.
Last game. Silver 6. SpliceI. ZvZ. He went roaches, I went speedlings when I saw that he didn't have much. Attacked with 16 and won.
Gold 16. Jungle basin PvP. fast expand. Lost. DTs, but I had detection. Missed a pylon somewhere.
Custom game. Scrap Station TvZ. Lost.
5-6 for the night.
I played a handful of games yesterday. I went 4-2. The memorable one was when a Protoss player tried to cannon rush me. I was Zerg. I didn't see his pylon until after her had two cannon. Instead of dealing with it, I just made more drones. When he was close to surrounding me, I took all my drones to another base.i already had the hatchery building, and a spawning pool on the way. I out macroed him, and walked in with roaches while he was still trying to build zealots. He easily wasted over 1000 minerals on cannons, when he could have had 10 zealots and mopped the floor with me. I was surprised that he was a gold player.
