Solve the Basic Building Blocks quest already!

 So, we're on the last week of the Basic Building Blocks Quest Chain - at least in terms of getting the extra thousand XP. I'm getting the impression that some people are having some problems with it. So, to help people get through their difficulties with these quests, I present my hints. Now, the order in which these clues come may be different for you, then they would be for me. Hopefully, these clues may be good enough for you to figure out which ones you've already gotten.
 
For the record - the title is meant to convey tongue-in-cheek false impatience.

The One Free Man
1. If you've played Half-Life: He's the only guy who appears in the Half-Life games (plural - guys who only appear in one game don't count) wearing a suit. If you haven't played Half-Life: This is another term for FBI agents that was allegedly coined in the 1930s by "Machine Gun" Kelly when he was cornered by a bunch of FBI agents.
2. Half-Life: The location where the first Half-Life game was set. If you haven't played Half-Life: You know those giant rock formations in the American south west with sheer sides? It's like that but the color of the PS3.
3. If you've played Half Life: You fought against them in the first game, but these alien creatures were your closest allies in Half-Life 2 and the succeeding episodes. If you haven't played Half-Life: These characters are voiced by Louis Gossett Jr. in Half-Life 2.
4. This one should work whether you've played Half-Life or not: What does Gordon Freeman, the Main Character from Dragon Quest VIII, The Main Character from Doom, the Main Character from Quake, Claude Speed from GTA3, and Link from the Legend of Zelda games have in common.
5. When you need to open a box, or beat a head crab to death, you use this.

Toasty!
1. Yellow clad ninja with a harpoon. Alternatively, an insect that tries to cross a river on a frog but succumbs to it's worse nature.
2. Mortal Kombat stage that has a big drop with spikes at the bottom.
3. In Mortal Kombat, the secret moves you do to kill your opponent in an incredibly gruesome fashion. Alternatively, when a person is killed in an accident, emergency personal refer to them as this.
4. Things that kill you dead in old school platformers. Particularly, say, Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden, and I Want To Be The Guy
5. This is the guy who says "Toasty" in Mortal Kombat games.

A Battle in Active Time
1. What do Diamonds, Rubies, Quartz and Dilithium have in common?
2. What character name appears in just about every Final Fantasy game (though the role of the character varies). Alternatively, who is the hero of Spanish war against the Moors during the middle ages, who had poems written about him, and who famously scared away an enemy force after his death by simply having his dead body propped up on his horse.
3. The flightless yellow birds that you can ride, that are famous in the Final Fantasy games.
4. Dirigibles and Zeppelins are referred to as a Rigid version of this.
5. This is the technical term for when a guy looks like a girl. Alternatively (using an alias), this is the Japanese word that almost literally translates as "beautiful boy".

Get Equipped With...
1. Mega Man's main gun.
2. Mega Man's arch enemy.
3. Enemy who appears in all the Mega Man games, wears a hard-hat. Alternatively, take the name of New York's other major baseball team (aside from the Yankees), and make it singular.
4. When you get to the end of a level, for most action games, you end up encountering one of these.
5. Sometimes the box art has nothing to do with the game.

Heart of the Tiger.
1. The feline enemies in most Wing Commander games.
2. Character played by Mark Hamill in the Wing Commander games.
3. Halo and a lot of other games incorporated this feature, which is different from regenerating health.
4. Back when we started getting Disk-based video games, this was used to make the cut-scenes more movie-like.
5. Was in Back To The Future and the Wing Commander games.
