Because I feel like writing again
Alright back in the saddle after June 6, 2008. Where, spurred on by my and Adam Sessler's rant against idiots on xbox live, I've decided i'd like to write again. Things are going to change for me greatly in the next few weeks, I have my first son on the way. All signs point to healthy but I'm quite anxious about the whole thing, its kind of a game changer for me as I'm sure it would be to anyon...
Alright back in the saddle after June 6, 2008. Where, spurred on by my and Adam Sessler's rant against idiots on xbox live, I've decided i'd like to write again.
Things are going to change for me greatly in the next few weeks, I have my first son on the way. All signs point to healthy but I'm quite anxious about the whole thing, its kind of a game changer for me as I'm sure it would be to anyone. I'm wondering mostly how it will change me. I've seen the slight changes my friends with kids have undergone but they're not interfered completly with their lives.
2009 has been a bitch year for me a roller coaster ride of suck if you will, between moving, being robbed, and the unexpected and unforseen things I am looking forward to 2010 not only because of my child but because it will mean an end to this crap tacular year.
Christmas wise I did get the mad hook up with Left 4 Dead 2, New Super Mario Wii, Borderlands and a sweet new TV, with 1080p and other sweet things, all on top of Dragon Age's second time through, and the daily swear fest that is Modern Warfare 2 (I'm a passionate man especially about my domination flags.)
I've been getting caught up on the podcasts I used to enjoy and rediscovering them as a whole. 4 Guys 1 Up talked at length about Mass Effect 2, and being the guy who pops a chub whenever you talk about Bioware, I'm stoked for it. In the spoiler section they talk about the default state of affairs in the galaxy if you don't import your Shepard. Which is completely counter to the way I last left the galaxy. At the moment though I don't have a save file for Mass Effect, it was stolen in the aforementioned robbery. So I get to start over from the beginning of the game if I want to put things right in the universe.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 adds a mode that i'm excited about in Squad Team Deathmatch. Usually I'm an objective based multiplayer, usually having complete disdain for stupid deathmatches that aren't in Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament circa 2000. But if this mode works out how they talk about I think this is something to get excited about adding a new layer of tactics on an otherwise chaotic game mode.
If you're interested check out my top 10 games of the year that wouldn't die (2009) which my top billing goes to Dragon Age.
Thanks for reading.
