Note: Spoilers, spoilers, and more spoilers below! For such a wholly iconic franchise throughout videogamedom, it's funny to consider how there's only really the one entry that set the world afire with a contagious level of joy and happiness. I'm sure I don't even need to specify which one it's such a prevalently held opinion that it's the best - and by a significant margin. Sure, Uncharted 3 h...

Always Be Controlling... Like Tank Of the mainline entries in the long-running Resident Evil series, Zero is perhaps the most obscure. You could chalk part of that up to originally being a Nintendo platform exclusive, with its original release dated all the way back in 2002 on the GameCube, before eventually receiving a lackluster Wii port in 2009. However the lauded remake of the original 1996...

Hey, GOTY and all that I know, but there's this here Tomb Raider DLC I wanna talk about, so - The first (of three) DLC releases for one of this year's irrevocable best is out! Only... it's not that great. The concept is that it narrows the game down to the survivalist elements that this new Tomb Raider series has repeatedly flirted with to a slight degree. Fittingly called Endurance Mode (but n...

So apparently around 80% of PlayStation 4 owners haven't played the Uncharted series . If I had to guess that's down to how Sony have retaken the lead over Microsoft, after the Xbox 360 (deservedly) controlled much of the console audience last generation. Nonetheless, I am amongst the 20% that has played the Uncharted series, one such honour that I'm sure I share with many on these forums, and...

I would LOVE to watch a British zombie film starring a shotgun-packing 24 year old caucasian Eloise GREEN - Lady Pimp and Zombie Killing Extraordinaire. For the past few years horror games have been on the up and up. Though even whence Amnesia reinvigorated the gaming landscape, such horror games were largely of the 'passive' variety. Horror games that primarily entailed you to run away and hid...

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition arrived on thursday and I then proceeded to complete it in one single sitting, with the occasional break for me to grab another can of pepsi max or to fuel me up with a quick bowl of cereal. I played it in coop on Hardcore mode with fellow GB user @gunstarred and to put it simply I had an awful lot of fun. Gears of War as a series is always effective at providing...

In a sea of incredibly interesting, surprising, and in some cases mind boggling announcements, I'm not surprised Gears 4 has been somewhat lost in the shuffle. To the untrained eye it basically looks like more Gears... and... well, even to those familiar with these games it looks awfully akin to what these games are known for. That's not to say what they've shown thus far is a carbon copy of Ge...

The Evil Within review! The Assignment blog! The Consequence blog! #YearofTheMansion As if the Juli Kidman-lead DLC double-pack, The Assignment and The Consequence, weren't enough of a departure! The Executioner, the third and unfortunately final bloodied slab of DLC for The Evil Within, practically rewrites the base game's entire gameplay scheme. And for as PR press release-y as that sounds, i...

The Evil Within Review! The Assignment Blog! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thar be all the spoilers! I'm a wee bit late for this one, a whole month even, but chalk my tardiness up to this little indie thing that recently took the gaming world by storm. Bloodbourne, I think? Yet another crack at trying to gamify Jason Bourne with...

Episode 1 Playthrough, Podcast, and Blog/Review/Whatever! Episode 2 Playthrough and Blog/Review/Whatever! + Podcast! Episode 3 Playthrough and Blog/Review/Whatever! + Podcast! Duder, it's over! Or perhaps this is just the beginning??? ... Nah, I think it's safe to say Revelations 2 is over. Though I'm still far from through with it as I'd like to at the very least play through the main campaign...

Hullo! A new episode of our Postmats That Drill cast! Though as we're still on the Revelations 2 train, we're still currently exclusively discussing the third episode of Revelations 2. A little late, given that Episode four is on its way, but no matter. It's not like we legitimately expect many people to pay much attention to this realistically speaking! Still, for those that are kind enough to...

The first piece of DLC (of three) for The Evil Within is upon us! Not that many on here care I imagine, but I at least very much enjoyed my time with The Evil Within. It certainly had its flaws--undercooked stealth mechanics, terrible story/dialogue, enemies with guns, and a couple of the bosses really sucked--but it by and large delivered a more than satisfactory 'reimagining' of Mikami's work...

I recorded a playthrough for Revelations 2 Episode 3! Complete with the same obnoxious buzzing in the background-foreground-underground-allground that's practically a trademark of mine. As such, I'm not really surprised nobody pays attention to these as streams managing to stand out is difficult enough without a shitty mic dragging it down, too. Still, I've enjoyed broadcasting these and I like...

Revelations Episode 1 Podcast/Playthrough/Blog. I recorded a playthrough for Revelations 2 Episode 2! However despite opting for a different headset, that same invasive buzzing unfortunately continues to persist... Still, it was nice of you all to provide so much precious feedback regarding both the previous playthrough and the podcast! It's truly heartwarming to witness all of my years of bein...

Hey! I recorded a podcast with my chum @n7 over here! Because it's not like there's enough podcasts of guys talking about video games out there on the internet! It's exactly as amateurish as you may expect, but if you're in the mood to listen to someone ramble on (and on and on and on) about Resident Evil for an hour, then give it a listen, provide feedback, and yes just what in the fuck is goi...

It's funny to think that the 2002 remake of the 1996 Resident Evil classic is now plenty old enough to be considered a classic in its own right. Almost thirteen years have passed since its original release, two whole generations have flown by, and the Resident Evil series has gone through some rather drastic changes throughout the years. It's safe to say that Resident Evil is barely even recogn...

Ever since the release of the positively superb 2002 remake of the 1996 Resident Evil release, people have been clamoring for its successors amongst the PS1 generation to go under a similar such evolution. Resident Evil 2 perhaps more so than Resident Evil 3: Nemesis , though that too tends to get shuffled in alongside its more beloved predecessor for good measure. During the years following th...

2014 is a year that happened, and is technically still happening! It's official. Stuff, things, and all other kinds of tangible happenings occurred. Videos games fit in there somewhere amidst it all, too. However much like every year I continue to be lacking in my access to the videya, with but only a PS3, 360, PS4 and 3DS to fill my daily diet with all the polygonal/pixilated nutrition I requi...

You, erm, got a little something on your, er... I've been playing an awful lot of Far Cry 4 lately -- over 20 hours now to be exact. However what may be distinctive in that regard is about 80% of my time has been spent frollicking about within its world and what it has to offer. I've actually undertaken very few of the story missions, just enough to get out of the prologue, for them to let me o...

...They certainly know how to make dragon's appear intimidating, I'll give them that! Like many I'm sure, I've been spending an awful lot of my time in Dragon Age's land of Thedas. I was pretty pumped to return leading up to release; many of the gameplay videos, trailers, interviews and the like proved that BioWare had actually taken feedback and the many criticisms of Dragon Age II to heart. I...

Previously on Resident Evil's Red Headed Stepchild! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we are, the second (and what might as well be last) chapter of the mildly-famed Dino Crisis series! Following the original by only a year, Dino Crisis 2 holds very little similarity to its predecessor--beyond the inclusion of dinosaurs that is--and made a...

A while back I made a list detailing the shrinking number of Resident Evil games I haven't yet played. And while it wasn't specifically created as a bucket list of sorts, it did remind me of my blind spot in the franchise regarding the Chronicles games. Coincidentally spotting it on sale for about £5.50 recently then finally pushed me over the edge in trying out. Unfortunately, the reasons as t...

Or... at least the first two anyway. I'm someone that generally enjoys going to back to old games a fair bit, especially of the survival horror variety. It's often as to simply jog the noggin', maybe for the sake of working on its wiki page, or... just to better to keep my accumulated knowledge of the videya intact. Dino Crisis is a game I actually got to pretty late, I think maybe in 2009 or s...

Note: I initially posted this as an actual user-review thing, but I noticed this game hasn't been getting much positivity around here so, I'd wanna thusly post it as a blog so it can actually get a little more exposure and what have you! The Evil Within is a wonderful thing. While it unfortunately isn't quite a return to the survival horror of old, it at least makes for a brilliant blending of...

The game has otherwise been purty cool thus far, but still... way to have the immersion just come crashing down!

I bought a 3DS! Well, I bought a 3DS like maybe two months ago at this point, but nonetheless I still continue to own and play games on my relatively new-spangled videya games console. However weirdly enough the type of cartridges that have found themselves snuggly fitted into its port (uh...) are of DS games rather than the 3D variety. ''...Bitches'' I do in fact own a couple of 3DS titles-- K...

Huzzah! The big 100K! Only took me, like... 4.5 years I guess. I can't remember when it was exactly that I got into wiki'ing, but I know I at least started becoming active on the site as a whole at around the summer of 2009. And oh, what a summer that was... Anywhoo this here 100K is mere chump change compared to the truly dedicated wiki editors out there, and we have in fact of course just had...

He looks imposing enough, but it still left me surprised to find this guy was the end boss So, yeah, I just completed this lil gem here and was surprised to find my apparent playtime clocked at just a little over 4 hours... 4 hours, and that still included much backtracking as I tried to remember where those doors with the three eye emblem things to return to where . Though its noticeably short...

So, GTAV ya'll! Now I had initially wanted to post this mudda days before, but... well, to be frank I am one shamefully lazy individual, and... that's all that really need be said. But I done did it, I finished it, I was able to translate my thoughts into words with just barely serviceable results. And now, I can finally share with the world my reasons for why I think GTAV is a sack of flaming...

Everything about this game's visual production, from the graphics to the animations, is brilliant I've always been curious in checking out the Lost Planet series. The idea of this extremely weighty and animation-heavy shooter has always sounded pretty appealing to me, in a similar way to my fascination with the Monster Hunter series at that, given that Lost Planet is essentially, ''what if Mons...

I'll be honest, I hadn't actually played a whole lot of DMC2. I can always remember playing through the first few missions, and not enjoying myself while doing so, but I always forget why. So since I've recently gone on a DMC binge, ignited by DmC, I decided to head back into DMC2. ...Good Lord. zzzzzzzzzzz It's fucking crazy to think this is in the same franchise as such greats like, well, eve...

Pardon the stupid title, but it's just so I can call it something else other than ''top ten of 2012'', and creating the implication that I eat video games is... well, I'd like to think it helps it stand out an extra 0.2334%. Anywhoo: Video gaming in 2012! The year where I officially began to grow jealous of PC gamers and truly loathe the poor performance issues of console games. Sure, it's kind...

I decided to write this up a blog first because when I started, I couldn't actually post it as a user-review yet. Then I got so far in that even though I now can , I figured I'd still post this as a blog anywhoo! So.. hear it is. Also I'm hardly what you could call a talented writer, so just an FYI if anyone should bother reading this but hasn't read any of my previous user-reviews before. Teeh...

Hurray! I've just completed Borderlands 2! It certainly took me a while, but I decided to take my time with it (even so much as creating an alt while I was in the middle of my first playthrough) doing just about every side quest available, spending like up to an hour at a time on the slot machines... and there's been plenty of occasions where I've left the game running when I've gone to do some...

Uncharted 3 and Gears of War 3 are sort of kindred spirits, often put against one another because they're both cover-based shooters each exclusive to their own console. But as anyone who's played only an hours worth can tell you, the similarities are only skin deep and even then they're still pretty far apart. After playing a fair bit of multiplayer for both recently, the multiplayer is one suc...

Why! Why must the times be so cruel! And I'm not referring to the stupid silly delay the MGS HD collection underwent (which was still silly stupid), but for how my own tolerance for video games must move forward so fast. To put it bluntly, I don't think MGS3 has aged well at all . And it's killing me inside with a serrated blade... dipped in poison, while on fire, and I'm being force-fed laxati...

I don't usually do this (review films or post user-reviews in a blog), but after re-watching the sublime 2005 monster schlock that is Feast ... I dunno, I just had the urge to gush out the enjoyment I had. And considering the state screened.com has unfortunately found itself in (though I've still posted it on there anywhoo), I decided to post it on here. As a blog, rather than sticking them on...

I was relatively optimistic towards Amalur for a while after hearing about how it's meant to be an Elder Scrolls-ish RPG with ''God of War'' like combat. The trailers enticed me all the more, and even the demo left me feeling cautiously positive. But then... I dunno... after around 5 hours of playing (on Friday... mostly been playing Gears 3 instead) my stomach gradually began to sink as I coul...

Just completed Brotherhood and OMGWTFBBQ ect ect. An overall fantastic game and one I wish I played through sooner; it would have no doubt ranked on my top 10 for that year had I played through it then and shared my enthusiasm as much as I do now for the game. It's weird because I really liked my time with Brotherhood's campaign, a fair amount more than with AC2, and I never really understood w...

Since I noticed people are emptying their GOTY guts via blog form, I figured that my ''highly valid and relevant'' opinions might as well go along with 'em. I'm just copy & pasting from my GOTY 2011 list. So... yo: 2011 has been a very middling year for me, videya-gaymz speaking anywhoo. A large portion of the year has of course been sequel-centric, and for me a shocking amount are sequels that...

I mean Holy Sexual Intercourse, Batman! This bastard is a real a bitch! I will always attest to Demon's Souls having a bit of a steep learning curve with a nasty metaphorical guillotine for any error in your play-style, but at the same time Demon's Souls wasn't all that particularly hard. Once you got the main path sorted (after a few dozen deaths to be sure) I at least could swim my way across...

Long before the whole second coming of the APOCALYPS3 was struck down I was brushing on my PS2 collection and refurbishing it with some old school, dungeon crawlin' up em beatin' son of a bitches. Most I had planned to finally check out, and with the gaming drought that cropped up (more so because of the lack of any new appealing releases to me than the lack of online) I got me browsing through...

Hey, remember this ???? No? .. Well, fuck it, It's back in all its amateurish ( especially highlight by each blog's altered title ) and uncreative ( another blog about games that some douche played - wonderful! ) glory! I was planning on basing my third edition on a couple of PS1 classics - most notably Vagrant Story and Abe's Oddysee , but as it turns out... those games haven't aged all too we...

I generally like rain, and now, thanks to Quantic Dreams , I really quite like me some Heavy Rain as well! I also really enjoyed Qunatic Dreams previous morality adventure endeavorer, Fahrenheit (better known as Indigo Prophecy), quite a fair bit--though I actually only played that for the first time sometime early last year--but, as anyone who's played it also can attest it, that game had some...

Now there's already 101 threads dedicated to peoples own opinions towards the Dragon Age 2 demo, but with so many then surely another can't hurt? And if it does BIG WHUP, WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT So, Dragon Age 2.. I was a day late with my own indulgence into the origins (Or singular origin I should say) of Hawke due to the PS3 being my online proprietor of choice, which while in the UK also unexpl...

Yes we can! I know, I'm hilarious. I've recently been getting myself a pretty crowded backlog on my shelves, though none of them new releases or even anything from this gen. With me usually only having enough cash for one full price game per month, the rest otherwise goes towards classic DVDs or PS2 games. With Dead Space 2 being the only full time purchase for me until, well, March for my eage...

Holy mothertrucker of a fucker... the past three or so weeks has been a constant uphill battle against an army of little shitty soldiers all trying to overcome what little spirit and optimism I have to begin with. LazyIntroEnd/ In The Beginning... There Was A Flood... Three Tuesdays ago, the day went like any other. I was awake surprisingly early, though like hell can I remember why, then at ar...

I've never read a comic book ... besides the many editions of the classic Beano and Dandy, but I'd hardly have them count as they where of course mostly for merchandising the innocent souls of the young British public. As far as superhero comics go, ala Marvel and DC, however, I've never even held one in my hands... my COLD, DEAD HANDS! But even with my distinct inactivity concerning comics I s...

The Dead Rising games are mostly known for the wonders of testing out all multitudes of weapons against the shambling undead, be them new toys of dismemberment or just more ways to instead embarrass aforementioned shambling undead. Another not so heralded aspect of the series are the psychopaths: people that have either plainly cracked under the chaos they find themselves surrounded by, or wher...

I know plenty of people have opted to stick with their one and only Shepard to have more attachment to their character and the storyline. But for me personally, ME2 is so rich with replay value that I find it near impossible to not constantly head back in with a new look, origin, gender, class and to play with a varying personality. So far I've currently got four Shepards: Vincent Shepard - My...

Daniel: "Oh look mommy, it's the transformers/power rangers!" Me: this one is going for a more action orientated route i'll bet Daniel: I hope not that's what happens every goddam time Me: it'll definitely be atmospheric, though like they keep mentioning this is all about Isaac making his retaliation Because this time...IT'S PERSONAL! Isaac just took it...TO THE NEXT LEVEL! Daniel: psh... Me: H...

And yeah...it kinda sucks. Charlie was his name and he was only around a couple of months old. Had some nasty bowl problems that had him shitting everywere, and what made it the most shocking was how before hand I was shrugging it all off saying it was probably down to something he eat. Turns out he had a really strong infection and otherwise had to put down because of him being too young and s...

Now lately I've had plenty of gamage to keep me active and away from all the entries in my, recently established, Long Forgotten Collection. I recently bought The Sims 3 which is assured to keep me busy for many a month. I'm still switching on RDR aswell, mostly over the hype for the upcoming DLC packs. Plus I really want to get me a damn bull mount.. I've even taken back to Mass Effect 2 . The...

I'm not so much of a completionist, but I do tend to at least get the main focus of the game all under wraps. Be it the main storyline, that high score and ect. Some games though really tend to slip by my attention and stay stuck on THE ''to play'' shelf trapped in the past and becoming more and more invisible by the day. With such a gaming drought however, least for me, that called upon to fin...

I practically never blog here, and well that also means I don't blog...period. Mostly with a strong ultra-combo of lazyness and difficulty to actually find something to blog about. Bu t faaaaak it! I'll just reach into the inner emptiness of my brain and see what I can pull out. So first off there's the boner inducing priced games I've been purchasing lately. BONER INDUCING SALES!! They go from...

Now like...everyone else...I'm hardly a fan of the RE movies. Infact being such a devoted RE-game fan makes me despise them all the more than your average Game2Movie disastor. I saw the original and thought it was rather...meh...but compared to the second movie it could be seen as a faithful adaptation. It isn't but the second movie is just that bad. The third movie I haven't even given a chanc...

Almost gives me a Clive Barker vibe Despite the 2001 era graphics, despite the rampant negativity this game has got at large from critics and players alike, despite it not even being available in the UK....I got it. Ordered from ebay, for around £25, Deadly Premonition is on its way to the dreery streets of The Wirral, delivered through my mailbox and straight into my heart....or into my brain,...

Lost In Nightmares is the second piece of DLC for the acclaimed action-horror title, Resident Evil 5 . It adds around 40-60 minutes extra for the main story of Resident Evil 5 aswell a few new additions to the Mercenaries minigame. So its certaintly not one to focus on the amount of its content, more so its quality is where it manages to shine. Lost In Nightmares stars players as the original R...

Before After Yes I done a blog sooo long ago (I Think) about the dear destruction of my ps3 via the yellow light. Phoned up sony, they decided to send a courier to which one arrived....momentarily. Ever since though I'd had this uneasy feeling, the fact that he thought he was coming to pick up a laptop didn't help, but could possibily be a compliment for my ps3 depending on what type of laptop...

Soo yeah, my ps3 may be under the mercy of Sony at this moment in time, but my lil brothers ps3 was all I needed to carry on my Dragon Age fix. I already had like 4 characters on my ps3, but still creating a new one on my lil brothers was fine by me. Try out a new origin (Dwarf Noble) and with so many ways to play through situations and with the versatilitie of the story, replays even of the ea...

I say that but it doesn't matter when it would happen, it would always be a fuckin nuisance. Soo yeah, on Christmas Eve, only 4 hours away for it strike midnight and hit Christmas Day...my ps3 got its very first yellow light :'(. Is this fates way of trying to push me into socialising more with my family? Pah! I've least still got my 360 and all its classics of 2006-2007...That said my 360 will...

I have now taken the not so big step from the teens into the 20s :( Yay for me I guess, yeah I'm one of the most boring birthday boys you'll come across.

Impressions from the Abyss As to my surprise, riviling through the bunch of crap, spam and offers to join ''sofeminine.com''...I came across an email from playstation.com Opening it up I was delighted to find a promotional code for GoW3! The demo is pretty old news now and plenty have already experienced it themselves or at least watched it enough times to imagine what its like to play through...

Yesterday I found out that Great Uncle, Colin, died. More imporantly though, I only actually found out about Colin with that very information... My nan was on the phone with his wife and soon after she then rested her arms on the dinner table and had one of those serious tones on her voice. She explained how she had another brother called Colin, not a half or step brother, full blood relation....

Youuuu missed a spot there love. It's over....the premier first season of Trueblood has ended, merely minutes afterI write this blog To those who haven't had the pleasure of watching through one of the best series to air on TV this decade, TrueBlood is a Vampire drama or maybe Vampara for those ultra lazy typers.....and yes...i know of your existance!! @.@ It stars a Sookie Stackhouse and ignor...

God thank the generic mercenaries, may they always act as fodder to fill full of lead! Uncharted 2 the beta came out an age ago it seems, but I the oblivious sod only got into days ago from now. Already its given me plenty of reasons to once again have my ps3 booted up at least 12 hours a day . I'm sure most of read the reviews and of course played the beta, but just for the lil extra confirmat...

Sooo seems the demo of the upcoming action, grindhouse-ish, game is available to all. I'm not sure just how long its been around, probably a while but even still during my routine check through the PS-store i stumbled upon this unexpected lil feature. Like everything on the PSN these days, it took around 30 minutes download/install annd then i was finally able to delve my hands into 70s style w...

Yesterday i just handed in the last of my needed paperwork, and with that menial task over n done with...that brings my 3 year Performing Arts course to a close :'(. I mean I'm sorta in that age old motion of only missing it once its gone, cause i complained plenty during the course itself over the unreliable tutors, a class who'd i'd sell my soul to the devil to never have to come across again...

So much for next thursday, I arrive in college today with a mate of mine asking ''Soo...you got yah monologue ready??'' sept in not quite those order of words, a Latvian mate of mine 8)..what, never heard of Latvia?? Well netheir did any of my class till he shown up :P...to those who were fully aware of the lil tint of europe filled with Russian germans then kudos to you. Anywhoo, monologue...p...

Soo yeah, for the past 3 years of my life i've been w rapped up in an A-level performing arts class, which is a giant smoothie mixed with acting, dancing and singing. Though i'm only interested in the acting part, dancing is like a deathwish with me lil joints and singing...well i don't have much choice in that matter lol Anywhoo the course has been overall....rather shite frankly, probably a 2...

Theres a whole culture of cosplay to cringe, laugh and possibly slice yah eyes out over...but there'll always be those particulars that when asked randomly which cosplay made you lose faith in humanity, these come to mind. Now these two are apparently dressed as Vash the stampede off Trigun...though i could expect these two dressing up as themselves could garner themselves plenty of shame to sh...

Yeah...twas the title of my very last blog up on the conformist gamespot :O :P :S I'm not entirely new here, I did start this profile once i went through my like 8th suspension in a row...but then my lazyness caved in and i retreated back to my already settled profile stead of this lil un i had created. A banning however, obviously set my options a lil thin I'll admit =/. Soo hoping this could...
