Iron ManThe first movie I saw this summer I saw was Iron Man. I don't read comics, I have only read the Wanted and Watchmen graphic novels so I don't know a ton about Iron Man except that he's a part of the Marvel side of publications and not DC so i went into with a clean slate. I did like Iron Man but not as much as most people did. I thought it was really good for a origin story because most superhero movies don't have that good origin movies. I liked the plot [don't want to go into details since mostly everyone knows by now what Iron Man is about] and liked the motivations behind Tony Stark on why he became Iron Man. I liked the action but there wasn't as much as I would have hoped but I don't really blame them because it is pretty hard to have alot of action in a origin story of a superhero and have it still have a good way of fitting into the story. I thought the actors performances were really good and that includes almost all the main characters I can't really think of anyone who did that bad except toward the end Gwyneth Paltrow's character towards the end gets pretty dumb. This is one of the best movies I have seen this summer though and of course saving the best for last Robert Downey jr. did really good and was probaply my favorite part of the movie.
I would give this movie 4 stars because I really did like the movie and everything about the movie was good it just didn't achieve that next level for meLike I said earlier I will be reviewing Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull tomorrow or if I forget sometime really soon. As I get closer and closer to the last movie I have seen the more in depth these reviews will go becuase I will remember alot more about the movies and eventually I will catch up to my last mvoie and just post new reviews of the new movies I see. I also need to come up with a new name for these particular type of movie review blog posts so any ideas would be appreciated.
In other news though I haven't been playing a ton of games oither than Madden 09 and I will post a blog about that once I get a good impression of it.m I also need to still post a blog post about Braid and Bionic Commando and will do that soon also. Lastly if I do get Mercenaries 2 Sunday I will post my impressions of it Sunday or whenever I get it I will post a blog about it.
