PropagandaI haven’t played the previous Batman game but I tend to watch it from a distance due to my experiences of playing it and the stylist combat system and stealth mechanics didn’t go for me that well. I mean don’t get me wrong, Arkham Asylum was pretty great but it’s just not my type of game. I remember getting irritated of jumping from platform to platform, killing dudes and trying to not to be seen and the point where dudes get guns is pretty tricky and i need to kill them quickly. And that’s why I didn’t want to play that game.
Anyways Arkham city is recently launched and i give it another chance. the trailers and coverage that i saw wasn’t really interesting to me due to the previous game being frustrating to me and it’s like a Mortal Kombat relationship where I find it hard to play the game but vastly enjoyed watching the GB crew continuously play that game on TNT. Nevertheless I decided to pick it up and played Arkham city.
I really love what Rocksteady studios had done with this game, the intro just looks really impressed and sharp, it just shows that if title screens look enticing you may want to play this game. Anyways the game's intro is just a great falling action that of which makes it more of a motion-picture film that gets your blood pumping. The opening starts as Bruce Wayne is introducing and unraveling Arkham city as a safe zone with the press swarming in but suddenly soldiers appeared out of nowhere to apprehend Wayne and knocked him unconscious. He is later dragged to a prison where he meets convicts that like to mess with him due to locking them up and there's an interrogation scene with Hugo Strange, the new warden of the prison.
Or Danny DevitoAfter that I can really move with chain cuffs and finally get to the gameplay where I beat up several convicts from two political prisoners that are journalist, I guess. Then I got smack on the head even though I saw the convict before me with a blunt object but I woke up as the Penguin tried to beat me but i countered it and twist off his arm. I really like the counter in this game its satisfying to see Bruce Wayne do quickly subdue his opponent especially when he counters two thugs at the same time. I get to fight some guys and then escape out of that place with some platforming from jumping to ledge to ledge and holding on rails and other cool stuff while the credits are showing. It’s really movie-like how Rocksteady tries to convey this similar to how Uncharted and other recent game tried to do the whole cinematic and interactive experience.

Anyways when I got out, I contacted Alfred and he send a jet that drops a pod containing the batman suit and through jumping up to the ace building, I get wore the suit. There’s an interesting feature when take control of batman or Bruce Wayne, there's a transmission touch pad that decrypts encrypted messages from transmissions either from the police or thugs. My first real objective is to rescue Catwomen from the clutches of Two-Face who is holding her hostage in a court with his thugs.
It may look linear but god damnit, Arkham City looks impressive! As the games up the atmosphere and graphical detail of Arkham city is magnificent and impressive, especially when you get to glide and then hook and fly on top of a building. It’s rather impressive the first time when I glided heading to a water tower and then proceeded to hook to it and I felt invigorated by how open-worlded it is. Although something tells me that it reminded like infamous with gliding everywhere with electricity but batman is no exception, he’s just a badass gliding. When I approached the objective around the court, I liked the fact that you could surprise your enemies by gliding down and kicking down, it's fun everytime I did it and then comes the combat system feels enticing to me of countering and just beating the living shit out of them duue to their transmission frequencies being a chatty cathy.
There are a number of Riddler trophies around the city with neo-looking question marks and buttons that are really challenging to do. One of them requires me to boomerang three neo-looking question marks and I had only five seconds to do so, so the trophy could open or another where I need to activate a button that triggers a slide floor to jump into to get the trophy. At first I felt these challenges require co-op where another player could help you trigger the button and you could get it but I’m not sure if its puzzle solving or not. But I did get one trophy that the riddler talks to you after obtaining said trophy.
Two-Face is here up to noo good.Anyways I reached my objective inside the courtroom and the part where you rescue Catwomen is awesome, you first had to takedown the thugs with guns and then walk on a line across to where Two-faced and Catwoman is being sentenced to death as she is hanging above deadly acid. After I beaten up his thugs, he shot at me and then another bullet was shot out of nowhere and Catwomen was able to escape from two-face and dragged him chained and hanged above the toxic. I then was required to turn on the investigation mode from Arkham Asylum and find where and how the bullet came from and it was the bell tower where it was shot presumably as a assassination from joker. Or probably but I had stopped at that moment.
