It feels like someone just ripped my beating heart out.

I said goodbye to nearly 15 years of my gaming life this morning. After being a PlayStation owner from the age of 4, I have had the controller's iconic mapping of buttons imprinted into my brain for over a decade. In 2006, I made a jump to the 360 and would always associate in my head that A = X, B = O.. etc etc. Alas, I turned on my PS3 today and booted up the inFAMOUS demo for the first time...

Alas, I turned on my PS3 today and booted up the inFAMOUS demo for the first time since it went up (no idea why it has taken me so long to try it) and I was told that to use the 'Push' technique I am to hold R1 and push X. A bad dude advanced and I held R1 and pushed X and lo and behold, I threw a grenade. Baffled? I sure was.
Turns out the combination for grenade throw is R1 + Square, and Square is where 'X' would be mapped on an Xbox 360 controller.
So yeah, after over a decade, Microsoft have rewired my psychology and now I sit here in a cold sweat with visions of me never being able to properly co-ordinate my hands to game ever again.
Fuck you Microsoft and your awesome pad. I feel like I've lost a child.
DAMN YOU. DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!
