Phoenix Wright / Apollo Justice :: Ace Attorney

by dawnclover

This here is probably one of my favorite franchises on the Nintendo DS . And by far . If you're not familiar with it, Ace Attorney is a point & click game, well, you could say it's more of a text adventure game. Yes, lots of reading. But that's what it lives on, the story. This here is probably one of my favorite franchises on the Nintendo DS. And by far. If you're not familiar with it, Ace Attorney is a point & click game, well, you could say it's more of a text adventure game. Yes, lots of reading. But that's what it lives on, the story. It's just addictive! The characters are awesome and funny everything is just downright captive. You start playing, you have to go through it all the way. As the name states, you play as a Lawyer, in the first 3 games (originally on the GBA and later ported to the NDS) you play as Phoenix Wright, but on the 4th game (that came out only for NDS) you play as a new character, Apollo Justice, wich I don't know much about as I'm currently playing the third game of the series. I just wanted to post this blog, because this has been one of my addictions these last few days on vacation. I had played Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (the first one of the franchise) like one year ago, also on vacation (cool coincidente lol), and started playing the second game but stopped playing because of bigger games that started coming out, wich was a shame. I just completely forgot about it. Last week I picked up the game again and re-started the second one and finished it 2 days ago. I agree with many people on the second game of the franchise, it's not as good as the first one, but the last chapter really makes up for the whole thing (even though there are only 4 chapters, instead of five like in the other games). Anyway, right after I finished the second game I started the third game and I'm happy to see this one feels more like the first game and finished the first chapter on the very same day. Amazing, I'm now on the second chapter of it and I can't wait to see how the first chapter is connected to the rest of the game. I have too many questons on my head, I need to finish this game this very weekend. And then, on to Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney! Well, as I said, if you never played it, you play as a Lawyer and you need to conduct investigations to defend your clients on court. Each chapter has a different case (most of them are murders) but this doesn't mean there isn't a main story to all of it, there is. Many characters make several appearances and each of them has his/her own role in the main Ace Attorney story. If you can love a game only by it's story, go try this out right now! If you're a sucker for gameplay, don't, the most gameplay you do is making choices or clicking around the map to investigate. Well, if you got interested you can check the review of the first game I'm putting up later today or tomorrow. I'll also be making reviews for the other games, so keep checking for that. I'll be more active around here when I get home (august) since this internet is major sucky. Well, thanks for the read, stay nice!
