I'm not one for resolutions, but...

I just had kind of a head-shaking moment after finally getting around to buying all the games on Steam that were sitting on my wishlist, heavily discounted to a point where any further price drops would be insignificant. I just had kind of a head-shaking moment after finally getting around to buying all the games on Steam that were sitting on my wishlist, heavily discounted to a point where any further price drops would be insignificant. I think that's the "I already have everything from Steam so this sale means nothing to me" moment that others have been having over the last few sales, but I've been a poor college student in those circumstances. Not being quite as poor now, I jumped on the games, put myself in the position to be that complainer, and then looked at my library.
Holy crap, I haven't played many of these games.
I'm no Rolyatkcinmai, but I'm building a collection on Steam through indie bundles, massive Steam sales, and those emerging Amazon discounts that are turning into quite the pleasant trend. Problem is, now I haven't touched roughly half of the games in my library.
Way to waste money, right? Right. I have a plan, though, and unlike most of my plans, I might actually execute this one.
I haven't written any sort of normal recurring blogs about game experiences for quite some time. I think my last stint may have been back when I was playing City of Heroes and trying to grab attention among MMORPG blogs on 1up.com somewhere around 2006-2007. It wasn't very successful, which is to say I grabbed the attention of others (at least to my satisfaction) only after I had already basically given up on myself and garnering any following. Great timing, naturally.
Writing's fun. I need to take the time to do more of it again, and I need to focus on more informal writing where I'm not pouring over every word constantly and taking five hours to post a short blog on game mechanics or something just as crazy.
So let's set this out for 2013, shall we?
Things PsEG should do in 2013 that resemble resolutions
- Finish S-ranking Forza 4, Horizon, and maybe 2.
- Play as many of the Steam games I've neglected or never touched, at least to the point where I'm sick of them.
- Maybe take a screenshot or two.
- Write about it all.
- Also, schedule a dental appointment already, fucking hell you're wasting your dental insurance asshole
Simple enough, right? It's just like what a lot of users do on this site. I just make excuses or waste my free nights listening to mp3s and pretending I'm an awesome race car driver who never had a chance when he was young but now he's got that chance and by fuck's sake he's lighting up the world
...naturally, not really productive, that last part, so I'll try writing more instead. If it ends up being something worth reading, cool. If not, well...I wouldn't be surprised.
2013. Let's see if I can make it happen.
