Shame about 1UP, eh? Lot of cool personalities on that site over the years, even if I wasn't much of a frequent visitor. Still, I blogged a little on 1UP back in the day. Mainly, it was to talk about City of Heroes, since I was a proud member of Scott Sharkey's Circle of Jerks crew. Both of my blogs were, by my standards, terrible failures, especially an attempt to blog for sixty days straight...

Still, I blogged a little on 1UP back in the day. Mainly, it was to talk about City of Heroes, since I was a proud member of Scott Sharkey's Circle of Jerks crew. Both of my blogs were, by my standards, terrible failures, especially an attempt to blog for sixty days straight that had several delays and, in the end, only lasted 43 days.
A few unexpectedly heart-warming and cringe-inducing comments still sit in my head from those days, and I figured I'd archive them with the blog entries for the fuck of it...and then share some of them here, because why the fuck not?

Seriously gratifying to have Boss compliment the work. Also, I love leaving that other comment completely out of context.
This is just past the point where I started slipping up on my blogging schedule, as may be really goddamn apparent.
Two months after my Day 42 blog, with no Day 43 blog in sight. God fucking damn shit ass fuck damnfuckfuckFUCK I'm bad at keeping a regular schedule of writing.If nothing else, consider this the next time you read someone's blog on Giant Bomb: The best encouragement you can give someone is to comment on their blog, positively or negatively. It lets them know you're reading, even if you're being a fucking asshole. If you want somebody to stop, then outright ignore them and don't ever comment.
...of course, I'm just speaking from what motivated and discouraged me and attempting to apply it to everyone, so that's probably weak advice. Still, words and attention are very powerful. If you didn't know that already, know it now.
