WHERE ONE FALLS ANOTHER COMES BACK – How Black Ops was bested by Battlefield and what it could do to make it better?

1. Get rid of advanced movement

Don’t get me wrong, wall running was fun the first time. However, the reveal of Black Ops 7 shows it has made a return, and the reaction especially from the fans was abysmal. Battlefield 6 on the other hand made it clear that wont be a mechanic, and if Activision gets rid of the mechanic the player would have a much more immersive experience.

2. DO NOT COPY FORTNITE!

Speaking of immersion, it makes no sense to have Nicki Manaj camp in a corner during a team deathmatch; it makes no sense for a giant bunny rabbit to shoot me or my friends dead during a domination match. This Fortnitification as described by some fans totally removes immersion, and it is clear in Battlefield 6 that immersion is most important in its game design.

3. Return to the cinematic

Looking back at the older cods, particularly up to Advance Warfare, they all had one thing going for them. A cinematic story. Every single one of them, felt like you were a character in a Hollywood movie. And while I do stress the importance of keeping gunplay accurate, the stories were in my opinion, the best part about cod, and I hope one day it will make a huge comeback.
