I've never liked the Battlefield games. I tried Battlefield 2 and Bad Company and just couldn't get into them, so when I figured out this game was completely different, and free, I had to try it out. It's a third-person shooter this time, with a cartoony art style that's alot like Team Fortress 2.
One of the things I dislike about Heroes is the inability to change classes midway through the game. All your different characters have seperate XP bars and you have to quit your match and then start the game again to change your class. I found the soldier kind o useless, but the gunner and soldier classes work well, and have their own abilities.
There are only four maps in the game, which is kind of annoying, but they're good maps, so it's OK. It's strange, because when I first got on I would get the same map over and over, and yet I haven't seen that map since.
There are things you can buy with real money, but these are all just about appearance so it doesn't unbalance the game.
I'd say buy this game. Oh wait, you don't have to, it's FREE. There is almost no reason not to buy this game. Why are you still reading? Seriously, just go to www.battlefieldheroes.com and get it. THERE'S NO COST! THAT IS AWESOME!
