There are some cool ideas in this game. I like the tension, I like the hide & seek gameplay, and I like the idea as a counselor you are kind of blindly making your way in the metaphorical, and literal, dark. However, the execution of practically everything in this game is subpar.
I played a tad under two hours and every single game was a glitchy mess and if the game wasn't glitching it wasn't working correctly. I had owned Dead by Daylight, a similar but not the same experience, for a year or more before this game came out. I very much recommend that game over this. Both are just as repetitive, both offer the same style of tension and jump scares, but the developers of Dead by Daylight care about the product they released.
You don't see DBD releasing tons of paid DLC while still having game breaking bugs that came with the shipped product. You do with F13. Maybe the franchise hooks alone are worth it for you but they weren't for me. The style in this game is perfect but the execution of game play elements is so terrible you'd think this was still in the alpha stage of early access...which it should be.
Another huge gripe is how much content is locked behind playing the game for hours. Not really the biggest deal when I hated the actual experience of playing this buggy mess but still.
