OK, I may be a little bias because I have always enjoyed the Battlefield games, although I was a bit hesitant to try another console version because I wasn't too impressed with their last attempt. However, I was really surprised at how well this game worked on the console. The controls all feel fluid and make sense. The only odd thing is the way they did the gas/brake on vehicles but that only takes a short time to get used to and can be modified if you just can' stand it.
Overall the Online play through PSN is great. I have run into a few Lag moments but they are few and far between and in my case have never lasted that long. The online ranking system is nice and you can go on the Bad Company website to check yours and you friends' stats. My only complaint here is that there are only 25 levels and it many players have already reached that (maybe an update later will up that limit).
Another thing that some Battlefield Veterans may notice is the absolute lack of a Conquest mode. Well, have no fear, EA is working on that update and it should be out shortly (Hopefully around August 2008). The Gold Rush mode that is available now is actually quite fun though and will keep even the most hardcore Veteran occupied.
Overall I would say this is one of the best console shooters I have played, although admittedly I have not played that many.
