Has anyone resisted Gamepass in total? Ubisoft? It’s a trap. Everybody wants to jump into the NFT gang but I feel like once you get jumped into Gamepass there will be no leaving.
Who in their right mind is platinuming ANY game? My gamer peers go way too far. Some of the discourse around the relevance of consoles on the boards has led me to quit gaming, which i do more often than quitting smoking. So i came up with my 100K gamerscore challenge. I have since modified that to the 69,000 gamerscore in honor of the activision purchase (69 billion for bro shooters, metro has weight... what weight does a 2022 or 2023 call of duty have... sick tat inspiration bro.. microsoft overpaid... 69 Billion would have been better spent on securing 100% backwards compatibility and a smaller kinect with a usb c adapter... ). I currently sit at 63,662 gamer score. The following games are what i’d like to beat through enjoyment and also brute strength (means I'm just looking to get gamerscore points by browsing true achievements.. if credits roll so be it.). The goal is to nail 69,000 right on the nose so i might find myself quitting gaming in the middle of a game. I’m going to pack all of my stuff up in a closet and just not touch it again for a couple of years. Hopefully the one or 2 people that stalk my profile will notice that and when i run into them again IRL over the next decade or so they might bring it up in conversation. Look at me planning conversations like i plan meals. When do you think other gamers go overboard?
Salient people ruin dreams. Anticipation ruins dreams. This is why i have to get out of the videogames game. I’m reading articles about kojima and Spencer and i don’t even know these people.
Severe dependency ruins dreams. If you need your job to pay rent then losing your job is likely to pop up in your nightmares.
So the Metro Exodus review. Industrial design reminds me of work. I love my job. I work for a water treatment facility. All of the spiders, cobwebs, and dust are real. At my facility there are tons of frogs. Poor frogs. No rats though. I don’t think i could deal with rats. The darkness of my job always has me pushing towards the outside, the light. Wanting to get to the light pushed me forward in Metro Exodus.They have really replicated what it’s like wandering around at 4am in the dark afraid of everything and nothing at all.
Terrible voice work is like listening to a non native English thermodynamics adjunct professor. Say what? But if you are multilingual like i am then putting the game in another language (For me French) is a real treat.
How well does a game like this do? I only bought my copy of the game using the last of my bitcoin money that i had after reading a bitcoin book. So my $25 investment ultimately turned into about $60. I spend all of that money on videogames. Xbox used to take bitcoin and newegg takes bitcoin. Now that i am out of the bitcoin game (constantly wondering if the $25->*spent $20* ->$5->*became $20*) had made me warlord wealthy in the 5 minutes since i checked in on it has done wonders for my mental health. I spent that last $20 on Metro Exodus gold edition which game with all th DLC and Mighty No. 9. I imagine sales of this game were poor. Some of the earlier titles have been given away for the thursday free epic games downloads. The games are even on switch.

How is Guardians not charting on any of the game of the year conversation. For the record, i skipped way forward when i thought voting for “best letter,” was actually for in game canon/audilogs during the podcast. Once i realized they were going all in for the most tail wagging the dog moment in the history of giantbomb I skipped way ahead on Day 1.
Compass is my smart watch. It really makes me feel cool walking around IRL with my apple watch with a full charge. This game and the division justify the purchase like no other.
Never sure how I feel about ammo scarcity in games. In the first 2 games i think ammo served as currency as well as bullets. Cool take but i think that angle requires multiple playthroughs so you can figure out what works best for you.Lack of ammo is one of the worst gaming mechanics. However, here it is a little less frustrating with the use of the pump gun.
Very tactile feel. Having you hand charge batteries using your controllers triggers is pretty cool. I’m sure i’ll forget how this game is played over the years. But when i come back to it I’m sure that those movement will make me feel right at thome.
What does it mean when you see CHicken and the word you think is China and the word Triumph and think Trump. People have put us in precarious positions. This game has issues with saving in a precarious position. The last Metro had an issue with that too. So learn to savescum
Life when you do the sidequests first. What do you consider life’s main guest to be? The sidequests?
Compass is least infuriating waypoint. More artistic than the floating arrow overhead.
I’m sure the PC is nice but I’m not into things that assign homework. The game looks and plays fine on a xbox one-s I'm sure my bespectacled appreciation of the game would be marginally on the price of a compact car pc. But do you. As @Efesell so aptly put it in a thread about console justification.
Desire to finish a game and get it out of my life so I can just read the Wikipedia entry. I used to deride Nintendo games for being too whimsical. I need that in my life right now. I need to stay off wikipedia.
Played this so I can somewhat understand what’s going on in the Ukraine. If the war in the Ukraine kicks off I might not be able to play pubg anymore. Finished this and tried to move on to Ryse and got bored. Played some Crash Bandicoot trilogy which is fun and whimsy like i need. Playing to some metro last light. Finished 2033 a few years ago. Then it is on to Batman Arkham City and Arkham Asylum in preparation for the sparkle Batman coming out March 4th
TLDR: Pretty good atmospheric game. Shooting is good. Turn on the reticule. Hit LB whenever your mask has a visible crack in it. Play the game in a different language. Bitcoin is a scam. This is a close approximation of what industrial work looks like. Nobody cleans anything.
