Well, it's official. Sam Fisher has jumped the shark. I loved this franchise for the experience of being a high-tech ninja, planning moves carefully through facilities in order to achieve your objective with the minimum amount of fuss. The crowning achievement of my Splinter Cell career was completing levels in Chaos Theory without even knocking out a single guard. All of that is gone. In its place is a game that reminds me not of Splinter Cell,but of some kind of Gears of War/Rainbow Six: Vegas hybrid gone horribly wrong. The Sam Fisher I know would never be in cover out in the middle of a street with twenty enemies to gun down. The Sam Fisher I know would never be in the situation of having a bunch of guys suddenly breach a room and be forced to throw frag grenades everywhere to save himself. I don't know what this game is, but it's not Splinter Cell.
