This game is a technical and mechanical improvement over the previous entry, and offers far more substance than the lackluster Bioshock Infinite that came after. Much like the middle child often is, Bioshock 2 is overlooked unfairly, but left to its own devices is a very smart, very enjoyable experience with its own memorable characters.
